Captain Akihiro was outstanding. He worked hard all day to keep us on fish, and his experience really showed. We caught fish, had a great time, and learned a lot along the way. I highly recommend Akihiro hands down very precise fisherman and very knowledgeable on gear and the area. very friendly and out going and works hard to get you hooked up. Ive been on multiple charters throughout my years coming to Oahu and he definitely stands out of the bunch. he had everything (gear,bathroom,and water ect) we needed just bring snacks, strength and sun screen. also want to add he is great with kids letting him hang out with him on the captain console an teaching him the techniques.... I am an experienced fisherman and have been out on a bunch of deep sea trolling charters. I was looking for something different and more hands on. If you are looking for a jigging charter this is your best option. Went out by myself with the captain. He did a great job explaining how to jig. (completely different than jigging I am used to)  I’ll admit, it was MUCH harder than he makes it look. He did a great job explaining everything. We got 3 good sized amberjack over the rail. My buddy and I fish all over the US, from Florida keys to California and all the way to Hawaii. I wouldn’t say we are experts, but we have high standards. Captain Akihiro is very hardcore and technical, he would want to teach you and get things done properly like a pro. Trip is 100% jogging oriented, no trolling, or baits, just with metal jigs. We caught 4 fish(2x AJ, 1X GT, 1X Ehu) under 6 hours and headed back early as we were super gased. Would def come back again, it’s one... Mehr

I had an amazing experience on this jigging trip. The captain is very experienced and knew exactly where to find the fish. I was really lucky that day - I had a very high hook-up rate. Although I lost two fish due to the hook coming off and had five break off after hooking. I still ended up landing seven fish. Overall, it was an unforgettable and thrilling fishing trip. Highly recommend it.
