If you’re searching for a dreamlike travel destination and world-class fishing, you’re going to love Seychelles. It has something for everyone, whether you’d like to stalk the flats, explore the reefs, or hunt offshore. You don’t have to venture far to catch fish in Seychelles. The action starts right along the pristine flats surrounding the islands that make up the archipelago. Close to shore, you’ll get to fish for different kinds of Trevally, including Giant Trevally, as well as Bonefish, Milkfish, Bohar Snapper, and more.

As you move further from shore, you’ll discover an even greater variety of species. As the winds begin to change direction, you can enjoy some of the calmest weather of the year. April is a great time to experience variety in these waters, from tasty reef fish to big game trophies.

It’s the dry season in Seychelles, but strong winds can make the journey offshore risky at times. Charter cancellations are higher at this time of year due to the weather.

June

If you make it offshore on a relatively calm day, you’ll spend your time trolling for Sailfish, Marlin, and Tuna. Weather conditions usually don’t allow for other fishing techniques during the dry season.

July

Sailfish are at their peak, which makes this a great time to try trolling along the edge of the dropoff or inshore along the plateau. Light tackle anglers can enjoy popping for Giant Trevally closer to shore.

August

The southeast monsoon season continues, with dry, windy days forecast for weeks ahead. Weather permitting, you can still score some big game fishing while trolling offshore.

The local weather continues to be the biggest obstacle for anglers in Seychelles, who are eagerly awaiting their chance to head offshore and target a wider variety of fish.

Possibly not for those who do not like choppy seas, unless a very calm day. Very sunny and hot out on the boat, although there is plenty of shade. But bring plenty of sun cream, hats and wicking fabric tops if you want to sit out at the back king term.

My 14 year old son and myself had a great morning. We caught a bonito and landed it. We also caught 2 sailfish who were unfortunately too strong to land although we got some great pictures of the sailfish spinning on the water and bending our hooks. Great safe time out and experience

One of the best fishing charters around the world. Billy and David were super nice people and had delicious food for lunch (home made bbq chicken and sausage plus more). Apart from that we caught a variety of different fish and a big sail fish. The boat is also beautiful and kept in very good condition. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to fish in Seychelles. I will be back for sure.

we fished for two days. the first day we fished near the island, the captain immediately found a fishing spot and we caught a lot of bonito, we had fun, but we wanted to catch more fish and the next day we swam 40 miles into the ocean, there we fished two big tuna and lastly ryalki we hooked a sailboat! That was awesome.

Two great guys, nice boat and most importantly know their stuff. We wanted for nothing! Caught a bunch of different fish, Bonito, King Fish, Red Snapper, Grouper and Trigger fish! Bbq was delicious fresh catch and then snorkelling in the marine park afterward. A truly epic day out. Thank you both!
