Caught several rainbow over 20 inches and were hooking fish
all day, but also accidentally hooked a king salmon. The guide quickly unhooked him and had him released gently in under a minute. I was really impressed with the respect and conservation mindset he showed. We saw 3 more Kings jumping out of the water and we left the area.

Fishing in May is hit and miss. Catch and release fishing and it’s still early for salmon. However, the weather was comfortable and the waters were very navigable.

Fishhound Expeditions surpassed all expectations! Was in town for business and wanted to try fly fishing for the first time. Adam was incredibly helpful ahead of the booking and answered all my questions. Ryan was our guide and helped us learn and have fun!! Caught a few fish, had some beers, ate some reindeer brats, and had fun every second of the trip. Highly recommend this to anyone considering Fishhound and please request RYAN!! You won’t regret it.

Orion was a great guide and tried everything under the sun to get us on some fish. None of the anglers in the river had much luck today but I think we did better than most. The weather was gloomy and he still made it a really fun trip and helped me improve my technique while patiently undoing my knots. I highly recommend them and will use them again for sure.

9 year olds dream trip to fish in Alaska was a huge success! Fishhound crew is awesome, Blake was our guide for 2 days on the river, so much fun, absolute pro, great with me (rookie) and kiddo.
Super easy to book, coordinate and everything is provided (best river lunches you can ask for). Caught tons of trout, grayling and learned a lot about Alaska, wildlife, eco system, etc.
We will be making this a regular trip and highly recommend Blake/Fishhound, see yall again soon!

I have always wanted to go fishing up here in AK and so I couldn’t let this vacation go by without booking! So glad I found Fishhound! The weather was bad however that did not stop Dan from helping us catch fish! Dan was super knowledgeable, friendly and a ton of fun! I will never book anywhere else and will request Dan every time. We caught so many fish we lost count!! Thank you for such an amazing experience!!!

Will knew his fly fishing and communicated it well to me, as a novice. He was all about changing things up constantly to figure out some fish that were less than cooperative. Caught my first greyling - something you can’t do in New Jersey! Brots and a beer for lunch was a bright spot on a rainy day. All in all the effort made for a successful day. Thanks again!

Had a fantastic solo float trip with Eligah as my guide. He gave me great tips to up my ability and did his part flawlessly! I got strikes all day long and stopped counting how many I landed. Easily beat my personal best rainbow today. Couldn't be happier.

We had Lars and Elijah as guides for the day. They were very knowledgeable, helpful and fun to be with. The four of us caught plenty of fish after finding just the right fishing hole, which they said they would name after me (it's going to be called the "Swimming Hole" after I slipped right into the deep section). The guys were right there to fish me out. :) Great memories. Thanks for a great day.
