If you're looking for some proper Southern-style fun, kick off the year with the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival. Savour frog legs, gator tail, fried shrimp, and more in this fun family day out.

February

You've got a lot to choose from in February. Head out past the inlet for Grouper, Snapper, King Mackerel, Wahoo, and Sailfish. Otherwise, stay in the shallows for Mangrove Snapper, Pompano, Snook, and Flounder.

March

The Annual Grant Seafood Festival has been held every March for over half a century. The event draws over 40,000 visitors to fill up on delicious fried shrimp, crab cakes, conch fritters, and more.

April

The action really heats up in April. Inshore, Redfish, and Pompano are joined by the first big Tarpon. Offshore, Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi are tearing up the topwaters, making for great fun and even better eating!

May

Scorching temperatures and high humidity may make fishing difficult in the day, but not at night! Enjoy incredible hookups of monster Snook after dark. This is a Sebastian specialty and not one to miss!

September

September is a great time to head offshore, with a variety of species on the cards. Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and King Mackerel can reliably be caught this time of year, so get out there!

October

As fall draws in the Sailfish action just gets hotter and hotter. If you don't fancy going offshore, you can find plenty of big Flounder and Snook inshore, as well as the last big numbers of Redfish.

Charter fishing is great as well as pier fishing, surf fishing is a little difficult with the gradual beach. March and April seem to be good times of the year.

Waters can be a bit choppy. A bit better in April/May. But the fish still bite well.

July isn't the best month, but Captain Eric made it an enjoyable half-day searching for signs of fish and learning about the area's eco issues and treasure-hunting history.

The weather played a big role but that didn't stop our captain. He worked hard to keep us on the fish and after a few drifts down the river we had our limit of mangrove snapper. Sonny was very knowledgeable about the fishery and the ride on the boat was so smooth it really handled the chop well. We'll be taking a charter with this captain again!

Captain Mike was awesome. One of our party had little experience with fishing and Captain Mike showed him everything he need to know, he ended up catching the most fish. Captain Mike was on the spot with baiting the hooks, finding good spots to find fish and holding good conversations. Fun was had by all. Highly recommend!

We had to cut our trip short because a storm was moving in, but Capt.Taylor got us on the reef quick in the morning where we caught snapper, and a few other fish. We also caught a short Cobia, and after it got to windy and rough to sit on the reef we trolled our way back and got a bite, but didn't connect. Thanks Capt. Taylor and mate Will for sticking it out and taking good care of us!
