Fishing in Bourne means you're in one of the best spots in Massachusetts. Located in the middle of Cape Cod Canal, Bourne is right between Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod Bay – it's a fishing heaven...if you have a knowledgeable guide with you. The main reason this 'Big Ditch' attracts so many anglers is the Striper run. Whether you go after them from a boat or the shore, jigging the bottom or trying out a topwater bait – it's always a challenge. The prime time for incredible Striped Bass action comes twice a year: in early May and mid-October. The Striper migration isn't the only thing happening at those times – as the canal 'blossoms' with fish, you can also find Mackerel, Whiting, and Herring.
