Fishing in Baltimore

Baltimore Fishing Charters offer unforgettable angling adventures in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay, renowned for its world-class sportfishing. Departing from the historic Inner Harbor, these trips provide immediate access to abundant waters teeming with trophy Rockfish (Striped Bass), feisty Bluefish, and hard-fighting Catfish. The city’s unique setting blends urban convenience with rich aquatic ecosystems, where hotspots like the Patapsco River and Tea Kettle Shoals attract year-round action.

Experienced local captains navigate prime locations near iconic landmarks such as the Bay Bridge and Rocky Point Park, tailoring trips for all skill levels. Families appreciate calm inshore waters for Perch and Crappie, while seasoned anglers target migrating Striped Bass during peak seasons. Charters operate versatile 46' vessels equipped with shaded decks and amenities, ensuring comfort during half-day excursions or full-day expeditions into the Bay’s deeper channels.

Beyond the catch, Baltimore’s fishing culture celebrates its maritime heritage with proximity to seafood markets and waterfront dining. Whether casting lines beneath the city skyline or exploring tranquil tributaries like Gunpowder Falls, these charters deliver authentic Chesapeake experiences backed by decades of local expertise.

What anglers said about fishing in Baltimore

Book with Captain Derek at Finnand Feather! He had us on great spots right away- even with recent stormy weather. The boat is very clean, well maintained, and has all the right amenities for a small group. I couldn’t have asked for more from his hospitality - an absolute miracle that he had availability for my last minute plans.
