The second month of the year is the period between good ice fishing conditions and the beginning of the new fishing season, so the bite varies depending on the day and the temperature. Perch and odd Walleye are the most common catches.

Everybody loves March because it marks the official beginning of the fishing season, not to mention the milder weather it brings. More and more Walleye come closer to shore, and Catfish in the bay are becoming more active.

This is one of the hottest fishing months in the area and Sandusky, Ohio, fishing charters know it well! There's more Walleye than you can catch, Perch fishing will keep you reeling them in, and Smallmouth Bass are ready to eat as well.

Late summer is the best time to visit Sandusky and enjoy its charm, not to mention its premier fishing. What can you hope to catch? Lunker Walleye, Jumbo Perch, and good numbers of Smallies are all fair game, so it's up to your preferences.

If you haven't had the time to get a taste of Sandusky fishing yet this year, stop by in September, while all the A-listers are biting and there's still time to land something bragworthy. Remember to bring your raingear, the Lake Erie weather is notorious for its sudden changes.

It gets colder in October, but there's still a good chance of tempting Walleye and Perch into biting, and Bass action is solid as well. Get some smelly bait and head to the bay – chances are, Channel Catfish will find your offering irresistible.

Most of the Sandusky fishing charters are out of the water by November 15 and days are getting colder. The ice isn't setting yet, so your best bet is to do some casting from shore and get some last-minute Smallmouth Bass on the line.
