Fishing in Aransas Pass

Overlooking the Redfish Bay, Aransas Pass is perfectly located to get you on some of South Texas’ most productive waters. Follow an Aransas Pass fishing guide to discover the riches of the Redfish, Aransas, and Corpus Christi Bays, along with the deep waters of the Gulf, on a fishing trip like never before.

With so many fishing grounds, it’s no surprise that you can catch a diverse range of fish here. Hit the inshore bays, flats, and marshes for delicious Sheepshead, Flounder, Trout, and Redfish. Meanwhile, you can also test your skills against Jack Crevalle and Tarpon. A nearshore trip will give you the chance to go after Cobia and Amberjack, while an offshore adventure will see you push yourself to the limit against Tuna, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, and more.

There are trips on offer for all kinds of anglers in these rich waters. Beginners and families can take advantage of half day trips. There’s the option of trips as long as twelve hours, or even a few days lodging, for those looking to get the most out of the bays. You’ll need at least ten hours to hit the deep waters offshore, and you can even spend multiple days aboard a boat in the heart of the Gulf!

Whatever you’re looking for, South Texas has got it. Get in touch with an Aransas Pass fishing guide and book the trip most suited to your needs!

Rules & Regulations

Every angler over the age of 17 needs a license to fish in Texan waters, so grab your saltwater permit before coming aboard and away you go. If you want to catch a famous Bull Redfish (over 28 inches), then you’ll also need a Red Drum tag, which you can purchase alongside your license. Other than that, your professional guide will make sure that you stick to the latest bag and size limits.
