With waters of the Gulf of Mexico pouring into the luscious marshes, you’ll see how unique fishing this part of Louisiana really is.
The brackish waters are teeming with a variety of species, so you can expect your catch to be made up of species you wouldn’t normally catch in a day. You can explore the marshes and reel in Redfish and Speckled Trout, as well as Largemouth Bass and Garfish. Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead, Grouper, and Jack are also possible targets.
Depending on your ambitions, you can book a half day trip and spend a few hours enjoying the area’s natural views. On full day trips, you can choose from a variety of fishing techniques, and spend some more time on the water for a better chance. If you’re up for a challenge, try out fly fishing or bowfishing for a real adrenaline rush!
Charters in the area depart out of Saint Bernard, from one of the ramps along Delacroix Highway. This allows for great fishing at your fingertips, right from the moment your trip starts. With plenty of options to choose from, this is sure to be a fishing experience you won’t forget!
