Please listen to your captain and always follow their recommendations. If they tell you a day is not good follow their instructions the captains know the waters they boat and fish in like the back of their hand. Our captain was very knowledgeable. Recommended a different day and it was spot on.

The public parking near the marina is a big plus. We heard the restauraunt at the marina is good so you might plan on a special meal afterward.
Traffic near Oakville can be heavy during commuters time so make sure you give yourself time to get there.

Port Dalhousie is a lovely town to visit and the marina is really nice. If you're from abroad, this area is probably one of the more temperate ones in Ontario, so you're almost guaranteed nice weather.

He has everything you would need to have a fun and comfortable trip. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

This was my third trip with captain Vladislav, and once again, it was an incredible experience filled with great memories. The captain is highly professional and knowledgeable, and he clearly knows exactly how to put you on the fish. The boat is well-equipped with everything you need to locate and catch fish efficiently. We’ve already booked another trip for late summer and can’t wait to get back out there. Highly recommend Smackdown Sportfishing and the captain to anyone.

My 14yo son and I enjoyed a four hour morning with Lyle, fishing on the Niagara River. I am a complete amateur, but my son LOVES to fish. We had such a fun morning and we really appreciated learning so much from Lyle who is so knowledgeable about the local area, the river, and fishing in general. My son is asking to go again as soon as possible!!

Captain Frank and Josh did not disappoint. We went out and the boat ride was smooth. Weather was beautiful. We have no complaints except for something they have no control over. The fish didn't want to cooperate. We did catch one though so it wasn't a loss. We learned a lot about the rods, lines and lures. Watching the fish finder kept us entertained. Would definitely love to try again.

Very good and knowledgeable captain. He put us on the fish but they just were not interested in bitting. All the other boats had the same issue , BUT WE DID GET SOME FISH. Highly recommend.

Captain Mike didn't disappoint. We came up for an afternoon trip. Started out slow and then we hammered them. Three 20 plus lb salmon at the same time. Mike walked my two sons twelve and fifteen through the process and we were able to land all three. I would definitely recommend him for family fishing trips!

Although we didn't get a lot of bites the night we went out, Captain Matt put in every effort to help us bring some fish in. We were happy to bring one large one home to enjoy for dinner. But that's fishing. And a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work! We would definitely use Matt again for our next trip up!
