You can expect to catch bigger fish in April but the number of fish caught might be better in late or May. The weather conditions and water temperatures can make fishing in early April at times a bit difficult. We had to reschedule a trip as a result of bad weather.

I thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip on the Detroit River with Captain Billy Howe! Captain Billy was an excellent host! He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful as I had my special needs son aboard. It was the best trip I've had! I have fished all my life and it was a joy to fish with Captain Billy!

Mly fiance bought my son and I this trip for my birthday, and I must say, it was well worth it! The captain has a great demeanor and is very knowledgeable, and the boat was nice and well kept. I would definitely recommend. We already planned to go out again next year. I'm looking forward to it!

My son and I booked the 7-noon trip. We started out slow until he landed a huge muskie while fishing on walleye gear. Billy (captain) was pleased with that, but we still didn't have other fish. He was not going to give up. His knowledge and persistence allowed us to end the day with 10 great sized walleye (and three meals)! He was great to fish with. Very down to earth and personable. He's my first call next time we want to go out!
