January

This is a great time to go after Sheepshead, but Speckled Trout and Redfish are still biting. As temperatures get low, other species tend to quiet down.

April

In April, the best species to go after are Black Drum. Spanish Mackerel, Redfish, and Flounder are also biting hot.

May

This is when you’ll get the chance to go after prized Tarpon. Spanish Mackerel is still biting as well, along with Redfish and Trout.

June

With summer on the doorstep, you’ll find the fishing tends to heat up! Go after the Texas Trio – catch the biggest Redfish, Flounder, and Trout.

July

The fishing season is in full swing, and San Antonio Bay is brimming with fish. Flounder, Redfish, Trout, and Black Drum are all in the cards.

August

August is the warmest month in the bay, and it’s an excellent time to go after species like Tarpon, Redfish, and Speckled Trout.

September

With the coming of fall, you’ll have a great time on the water. You’ll be able to reel in fish like Redfish and Tarpon, but also Speckled Trout and Flounder.

October

If Flounder is what you’re after, there’s no better time to do it than October! Go Flounder gigging and experience a true Texan adventure.

November

This is when the temperatures start to drop, but the fishing is still hot. Go after prized Flounder, Trout, and Redfish, and get that Texas Trio!

December

I am not knowledgeable enough to offer any meaningful advice. But I suppose everybody knows that it is just too hot to fish during the middle of the day in August. A morning or late afternoon trip would be more pleasant.

Was pretty good, the captain knew what he was doing. Was a good overall experience. I got sick near the middle unfortunately and we had to cut it short, but I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience being on a boat for a few hours. Just make sure to bring your sea sickness meds just in case.
