Fishing in St. George Island

Separating the stunning Apalachicola Bay from the mighty Gulf of Mexico, this picturesque barrier island is just what you need to recharge your batteries. Hop aboard one of many St. George Island fishing charters and explore the rich waters surrounding this quaint fishing town. With 28 miles of natural beaches, this angling haven will not disappoint.

St. George Island might be small, but the fish here get really big! Find out for yourself by visiting either side of the island and casting a line. In Apalachicola Bay, you'll find species like Snook, Tarpon, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Flounder, and Sheepshead. Head over to the reefs, and Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack will take your bait. Venture a bit further, into Gulf waters, if you're looking for the likes of Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Sailfish.

There's a variety of fishing adventures here for you to choose from. If you're up for a relaxing day of exploring the inshore fishery, a half day trip is a great choice. If, however, you're looking to spend some time offshore, going after some big pelagics, a full day trip is the best way to go about it. You can also opt for specialized fishing trips if you're interested in targeting a specific species.

There are fishing charters dotted all along St. George Island, so you'll have no issues finding the perfect one for you. Just head on down to the docks and you're all set for your new Florida fishing adventure!
