Fishing license are $20 each and can be picked up at the docks. Live bait is recommended to be purchased and was an additional $40. Purchased from a small bait just outside the marina. Glad I got it because the live bait landed us a big fish.

Seemed like the rooster tails were easier to catch closer to the beach maybe not waste so much time going for Marlin. It’s a crapshoot and you gotta go way out.

Bigger fish are not here in numbers in May, smaller and fewer in numbers. I would wait till mid Aug- November for the larger Tuna and Marlin. May was much slower than my Previous July visit.

Boat had us buy a fishing license and also buy the bait for the day. Not something I was use to in MX, but OK. $20 for the license and $40 for bait, cash only. I saw most boats in the Marina doing the same thing, so wasn’t just us.

Have an idea of what you’re looking for. There so much to go after species wise.
They will want you to go for marlin and wahoo because you just troll and chill
But if you want to fish the reefs, the rocks, the shores, and troll you can!

Fishing is slow this time of the year, understanding that and having realistic expectations, if you’re in Cabo it’s still worth getting out on the water! We saw fish all day, just took a while to hook up.

Ricardo, Noah, and El Capitan David are the best you will find. There were alot of boats on the water, and we were the only ones that caught fish. You're making a mistake if you do not book with them.

Great crew, very personable. They worked hard all daylong changing lures. About 3 hours in caught a beautiful marlin. They maneuvered the boat wonderfully in helping bring in the big marlin. Even after that almost caught another marlin. Then the remaining time we spent trying to catch a rooster fish. It was an awesome day.

Very happen with our trip came home with close to 100 pounds of yellowfin and Dorado filets. To top it off, we got a nice group picture with a Marlin we caught . Captain and deck hand were both seasoned Veterans knew exactly what to do and where things were at. If you’re concerned about a crew that will put in the work to get you on fish have no fear this boat will get you on fish when others won’t make the extra effort. Thanks for the great trip.

Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and focus. We hooked two Marlin, the second took the bait, but we got a good fight. The boat was comfortable for the five of us plus the two crew members. We made sandwiches in the galley. There is a head, and a place outside in the shade to lie down if you have members of the group that need a rest.

I highly recommend Capt Reuben and Freddy if you’re looking for a knowledgeable and professional crew that produces results! Two striped marlin one huge wahoo and a good sized hammerhead shark made for an exciting day!

Wow one the greatest days on the water, with Blue Tail Team, Juan and Mate were on their game, first fish Stripe Marlin within 20 minutes of trolling, 30 minutes later 30lb Blue Fin Tunas back to back. No breaks 60lbs Wahoo smoked the Nomad for a 100 yard run in 2 seconds on a Shimano Tigra 30 wide brutal fish but we got in 🤙🏽
Definitely will return and recommend to my fishing community here in pompano FL

This was the best experience we have ever had fishing! The scenery, the boat, and the crew were amazing! We caught 20 Yellowfin Tuna and a 140lb Striped Marlin! It was incredible!

Alex and Capt. Ruben worked hard to get us onto some fish in spite of rough seas. We landed a nice striped marlin and lost a larger one. We got into Tuna and landed one and lost one. Had to cut the trip short as one of us got sea sick. Boat was very clean, lunch provided with soda, water and beer. Highly recommend this boat and crew!

Great crew and great action on June 2, 2025. Captain Gilbert and Freddy were amazing professionals. We brought in the boat one 9' striped marlin, 5' wahoo and 3 tuna. Another 8' marlin was lost at the boat. Incredible day and highly recommend.

Had a great time fishing with Rubio SportFishing. Booked a last minute trip and was very happy with the experience. Tacho was our captain and you could tell he knew the water like the back of his hand. Ended up catching and bringing home a bunch of yellowtail. They cleaned, froze, packaged the fish, and dropped it off which made the whole experience very smooth. Would highly recommend.
