Presta atención al sargazo en la zona. En grandes cantidades hace imposible pescar y puede llegar al punto donde no queda otra opción que regresar a casa. Tuve la suerte de que estaba en un nivel manejable cuando fuimos, pero fue mucho trabajo para el marinero estar constantemente recogiendo el sedal para quitar la acumulación.

If I had the opportunity to wait until later in the season, I would, because the types of fish for sportfishing become greater in July and September.
Also the Sargassam (seaweed) right now, hampers the fishing, but this doesn't happen every year.

Bring lots of sunscreen… expect changing conditions throughout the day.. a raincoat.. and the sun hat.. and of course dramamine if you get seasick. I didn’t need it… and be ready to catch something big and have a wonderful time..

Majority of what we caught was barracuda. Catching other fish would’ve been interesting but we know it’s hard to catch specific fish. We enjoyed the experience.

It was a perfect day no waves or anything, but we only catch two fishes. There is really no way to prepare, the weather is very unpredictable. We had luck with the weather, not so much with the fishes.
