What anglers say about Black Bream fishing
- 5.0/5(4 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing Shared)
Good shared trip
Short ride out to the fishing grounds and then plenty of time fishing. Captain and mate are helpful and friendly.
- 5.0/5(Half Day Trip – Calmwater)
Best fishing experience!
We have a wonderful time! Captain explains everything to us! He prepared everything. All you have to do is just relax. Captain brings us to his secret fishing point. My family got almost ten fishes. My mum did the best and got 4! So, there is no age limit! However, due to the regulations, we cannot bring the fish back home. But we had a amazing time in Gold Coast! We will be back again!
- 5.0/5(Bluegill / Bream Trip)
Amazing Birthday trip!
Captain James delivered a fantastic experience for our family fishing trip for our daughter’s 13th birthday! We caught 30 fish including catfish, bluegill, and large mouth bass. Capt. James knew all the best spots and used tech to help us see exactly where the fish were. We even went fishing in a swimming pool! #iykyk Amazing experience, highly recommend.
- 5.0/5(Adventures For Kids and Beginners)
Fish On!!!!!
We had an outstanding day on the water with Captain Bruno! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to put us on fish. We caught several fish, enjoyed the beautiful Sicilian coastline, and had a great time from start to finish. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a fun day on the water, I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Bruno. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!
- 4.0/5(Full Day Trip)
Go with experience!
Justin has his finger right on the pulse of the local fishery! From his first net cast for 100+ live prawns , to his precise anchoring to get our baits right over the several wrecks he regularly fishes. He was in contact with other captains, who had a fish or two, but we clearly had the best day with 10 fish, and four species. With the highlight being a couple of Barramundi, one landed and one leaping to an early exit! Justin is the captain you want to fish with!!
About Black Bream fishing
Black Bream fishing is all about light tackle fun in shallow, protected waters. These clever sport fish thrive in estuaries, bays, and river mouths. Anglers target them for their strong first run, quick head shakes, and cautious bites. They are a favorite for anyone who enjoys technical fishing and clean, tasty fillets.
You can catch Black Bream with spinning, bottom fishing, or fly fishing. Use light rods, small hooks, and fluorocarbon leaders to fool wary fish. Natural baits like prawns, shrimp, worms, or small crabs work well. Soft plastics, small hard-bodied lures, and vibes also draw strikes. Cast tight to structure such as pylons, rock walls, pontoons, and mangroves, then work your lure slowly.
Expect a relaxed, close-to-shore trip with steady action when the tide is right. This suits first-time anglers, families, and seasoned casters who enjoy a challenge. Pack sun protection, polarized sunglasses to spot fish and structure, and non-slip shoes. Bring a small tackle box of light jigheads, leaders, and a landing net. Many guides supply gear, but it is smart to confirm what is included before you go.
Rules for Black Bream vary by location. Always check local fishing license or permit needs before your trip. Review current seasons, size limits, and daily harvest rules in your area. If you plan to release fish, use barbless hooks when possible and handle fish gently. When in doubt, ask your captain or local authority for the latest guidance.
