Walleyes have been biting in the basin when the lake allows us out. In the mean time we have been finding a lot of action catching small mouth bass on the river. Crappies and schools of walleyes mixed in as well. Everyday as been fun lately.

The sturgeon fishing has been great this spring. Lots of big fish are getting caught. Stable weather seems to be the key for consistant action. Regardless of what Minnesota springs can look like its worth it to battle these fish.

The water is getting warmer and the pike are up shallow. Finding the few calm sunny days are best to find them soaking up the warm sun and being able to pitch flies to them. Either way we have been getting out and finding some early action
