we fished Racine. the coho are about 2 to 3 pounds and in close. they are plentiful and it is a good time to go out and hopefully catch a limit like we did!

Casting For Christ
It was chilly and choppy on the lake, with the water temperature about 47 and the air about 55. But the captain provided a boat with a cabin so we could stay out of the wind until fish were on the line. Two years ago on a different charter, our guide wouldn't go out on Lake Michigan because it was choppy, but Captain Mark took us out anyway and negotiated the waves expertly.

Captain Hooks Fishing Adventures
Conditions change quickly and can be somewhat unpredictable. We had low 60s at launch and when we finished we were in high 70s. Went from rainy overcast and clear blue skies in an hour.

What I would recommend to anglers fishing in Milwaukee for the first time is.... Same thing I would recommend for all adventures, keep your expectations low (or at least in check), so that you can be overwhelmed by all the little things in your adventures that can make it great.

Fishing was great! We caught four salmon during the sunset cruise and had more fish than we could eat! Definitely great fishing!

We caught five King Salmon well over 10 lbs in the first few hours. Things died down in the afternoon, with no real bites for the second half. There were fish, just not hungry. Fish are going to spawn up the Sheboygan River, so good fishing up near the bay.
