Your Fishing Charter

Fishing has this wonderful tendency to be both extremely calming and a total rush of adrenaline. Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures understand this really well and they’ll melt your stress away with some reel-screaming action offshore!

Join Captain Scott Housel aboard his 31’ Contender. She’s a center console, meaning there’s plenty of room to move around for you and up to 6 of your fishing buddies. You won’t be sluggish, as there are twin 300 HP Suzuki engines – you can cruise at a maximum speed of 52 knots.

Capt. Scott will take you after some of the most prestigious and toughest fish off the coast of Florida. Get ready to troll for Kingfish, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and Mahi Mahi, helped by the onboard outriggers. If you want to troll deeper waters, just use the downriggers provided as well. Anglers who prefer live bait will be happy to know that there’s a live bait well onboard – your baitfish won’t get floppy!

You’ll also hit underwater reefs and wrecks, both natural and man-made, where Groupers and Snappers are bountiful. If you’re a spearfisherman Capt. Scott will take you to red-hot waters, but that’s only for advanced anglers.

The captain will supply you with all the necessary fishing gear, as well as drinks to keep your energy up. There’s no minimum age for kids but parents should contact the captain in advance so he can prepare smaller vests. You are encouraged to release all Billfish, though you can keep it if you want (and if it falls within local regulations).

Morning Near Shore/Inshore 4 hours

You will head out between 5 and 20 miles offshore on this trip. You'll target fish around natural bottoms or artificial reefs. You'll be provided with the required equipment. You can expect to target Groupers, Snappers, and whatever else takes the bait!

Half Day Trip (AM)

Sleep in and then head out for a quick fishing trip – the recipe for a perfect day off. You'll be fishing the natural reefs and artificial structures between 5 and 20 miles off the coast of Port Orange.

Half Day Trip (PM)

This is a half day bottom fishing trip on steroids! You'll blow past the 10-20 mile area where most trips stop to fish and continue running 30-45 miles into deeper waters. Here you should find higher concentrations of larger fish and greater numbers of fish for the dinner table. The captain has added an extra hour for travel time and the additional cost to offset the expense of added fuel. Additional time can be added if desired and if his calendar allows for it.

Half Day – Deepwater (AM)

If you're a fan of bottom fishing or trolling, this is the trip for you. You can combine the two techniques or do the one you prefer more! The targets for this trip are Red and Mutton Snapper, Barracuda, Sharks, Groupers, and whatever else runs across your path.

Full Day Trip

This trip will take you offshore where you'll troll for the prestigious pelagic predators that live there. Get ready to hook Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and more!
