Water Dog Charters is family owned and operated, geared to chartering deep sea fishing trips from the experienced angler to first-time families for over 30 years. They are a child-friendly charter company that encourages taking children and exposing them to the outdoor wonders the Gulf of Mexico has to offer.

Relax and enjoy your trip aboard the ‘Water Dog’, a spacious 38’ Crusader. She has a nice and comfortable enclosed cabin with cold air-conditioning and clean restroom. There are bunks downstairs for those who will need a nap after all the fish catching action they endure!

The Water Dog comes powered by a 300 HP Cummins C-series and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 anglers. She is also rigged with modern navigational and fish finding electronics to save your time while searching for a big one.

Your trip will be targeting species such as Red Snapper, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, King Mackerel, Black or Scamp Grouper and possibly some types of Sharks. You will be mainly concentrating on light and heavy tackle trolling and bottom fishing.

The crew will take care of everything you will need for your deep sea fishing adventure! They provide bait, license, and tackle for you and your guests. All you would need to bring is whatever food and drinks you will need for the trip.

Join us on a 5 hour introduction to bottom fishing trip! Our shortest bottom fishing private trip geared toward you and your group! Start off with trolling offshore as you head down to the bottom fishing grounds to target good eating fish such as triggerfish and vermillion snapper to name a few!

5 hour trip

5 hour trip - 1:30 PM

This is our #1 fishing trip during the summer months. You will be trolling for King Mackerel and catching Vermilion Snapper along with other Snapper species. The package includes rods, reels, tackle, bait, and licenses.

6 Hour – Troll / Bottom Fish (AM)

This is our #1 fishing trip during the summer months. You will be trolling for King Mackerel and chasing Vermilion Snapper as well as other Snapper species. The package includes rods, reels, tackle, bait, and licenses.


Red snapper season 2025 is June 1st thru Sept 15th, 7 days a week

6 Hour – Troll / Bottom Fish (PM)

Add a few more hours to your bottom fishing time. The species targeted are a variety of snapper species (red snapper when in season) along with other reef fish.

8 Hour Trip

You want to spend maximum time on the water, this trip is just what the doctor ordered. You will have the waters all to yourselves, where you will be able to target various types of fish by trolling and bottom fishing. 10 hour trip

You want to spend maximum time on the water, this trip is just what the doctor ordered.
