Captain Josh owner and operator of Best Coast Fishing invites you to Sarasota on a memorable trip to the southwest coast of Florida or, as we like to call it, the best coast of Florida! SWFL is one of the premier fishing destinations in the world. It offers miles of coastline, thousands of waterways, and many hidden inlets perfect for a beautiful fishery! 

Captain Josh is the guide you need to take you on this beautiful adventure. As a Florida native and licensed captain, he has over 15 years of fishing locally! Jump into his well-equipped boat, soak in the Florida sun, breathe in that sea air, and embark on the adventure!

The boat is a 23’ Ranger series center console that sits up 6 anglers. It’s powered by a 225 HP Yamaha engine and equipped with a GPS, fishfinder, and livewell, spot lock trolling motor, twin blade series power pole, jack plate and more! To make your experience even better, the boat features a multimedia system, an ice-box, and comfortable seating!

On your trip, you’ll chase many fine inshore and nearshore species, such as Flounder, Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Redfish, Tripletail, Snook, and Tarpon and more!. You and the captain will be fishing with light tackle in order to catch them.

All the fishing gear and licenses are covered in the price, so you’ll only need to bring some snacks and drinks for the trip. While on your way to and from each fishing spot, you can relax and admire the beautiful mangroves, a large variety of avian species, and wild marine life!

Captain Josh’s trips are not only for adults but children and families too! Best Catch Fishing Charters caters to all needs and can offer trips from Sarasota Bay to Boca Grande which has a legendary annual Tarpon season. The whole family can have a wonderful time!

This trip is unique because it is for those anglers who only want to fish solo along with the captain! This trip is 2 hours long. Tarpon fishing is seasonal and has to be booked accordingly. Tarpon trips are also the only trips that I will move around the schedule. Timewise to fish a good tide. My minimum Tarpon trip is 6 hours.
