Play N Hooky Charters extends a friendly welcome to The Emerald Coast of Florida. This family-run business prides itself on making sure your trip is family-friendly and full of fun. Join their captain in fishing waters both near and off the shore while building memories you will share with friends and family for a lifetime. The waters in the area are full of a dynamic range of fish and sea life. Come explore the Gulf with Play N Hooky Charters.

You’ll use a 26’ Seahunt Gamefish center console, a boat that has enough space to carry 6 guests. Each guest must weigh at least 34 lbs.  
It runs on two 150 HP Yamaha engines and is equipped with Garmin electronics, including radar, sonar, chart plotter, and G3 software. The boat has twin livewells, cushioned seating, and gull wings to withstand sea spray and wind to keep the passengers completely dry. The boat’s also got a portable toilet, GPS spot lock trolling motor, a multimedia system, and an ice-box.

Depending on the time of year and season, you can catch Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Mingo Snapper, Almaco Jack, Amberjack, Pompano, Red Snapper, Trigger, Blacktip Shark, reef sharks, and many others. You’ll use only high-end tackle as well as multiple types of fishing techniques. The crew specializes in bottom fishing but you can also troll as well as experience free lining. Kids are welcome to come aboard and the crew will enjoy helping them learn to fish. The captain will ensure that you keep all the fish allowed by the FWC. He’s generous with the length of the charter and looks forward to helping you build the best experience ever.

When you join the crew for a trip, pack some snacks and any special drinks you want.  The captain will take care of everything from drinking water, gear, licenses, as well as cleaning your catch.

READ COMPLETE DISCRIPTION:  This trip is for anglers who want to bottom fish and troll.  You and the captain will spend 6 hours fishing 5-8 reefs and you can also troll if you want to. Shared Trip (6 hours Nearshore or FADS.
This is a SHARED Trip.  It must have 2 groups or 3 persons to MAKE the trip.  Each group will be required to make a deposit to hold their spot. All parties attendance is required to leave the dock.  The captain provides all gear, bait, ice and licenses.

6 Hour Gulf SHARED Trip

This trip is for parent and child who want to experience fishing.  This is a beginners trip.  You and the captain will spend 3 hours fishing 1-2 reefs and you can also troll if you want to. The captain provides all gear, bait, ice and licenses.  Catch and release only.  Designed for anglers 5-9 years.  Mostly catch and release .

3 Hour Trip – Gulf Kids Trip

This trip is for anglers who want to bottom fish. You and the captain will spend 5 hours fishing 4-6 reefs and you can also troll if you want to. The captain provides all gear, bait, ice and licenses.

5 Hour Gulf Fishing

This trip is for anglers who want to chase Mahi-Mahi in deep water.  You and the captain will spend 6 hours fishing Fish Attracting Devices or FADs 22-26 miles from East Pass.  The experience will include casting for Mahi-mahi and some trillong as well as other big fish opportunities.  The captain provides all gear, bait, ice and licenses.

6 Hour Gulf Pelagic Trip

This trip is for anglers who want to dinit all! You call the shots and tell us what you want to go after!  Trolling, chuming for sharks, bottom fishing , we donit all!  You and the captain will spend 8 hours fishing 8-10 reef fish, fish for Mahi and you can also troll for pelagics if you want to. The captain provides all gear, bait, ice and licenses.
