Your Fishing Charter

Whether you're looking for a quiet day on the water to relax and take some photographs, a fishing trip of a lifetime with family or friends, or an evening trip with your significant other, Reel  Adventures Fishing is there for you. Captain Ryan Richey does his best to meet any special needs you may have. He offers charters out of Jacksonville and St Augustine and covers the waters from Mayport to Saint Augustine as well as offshore waters out to 60 miles. If there are inexperienced or younger anglers in your group, he recommends taking a shorter day trip. Book with Reel Adventures Fishing and have an exciting and safe day on the water in Florida!

Your adventure takes place on a restored 26’ Mako center console. It can fit 6 guests, runs on two 200HP Suzuki engines, and uses GPS and a fishfinder for navigation. Equipped with outriggers and downriggers, the boat makes fishing easier and more efficient. It also features an ice-box and a livewell. Captain Ryan makes sure you’re safe on the water. Apart from life jackets, there’s a VHf radio,EPIRB and a sat phone so you’re always in touch with someone on the shore.

You’ll target Bull Shark, various sorts of Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Triggerfish, Wahoo, Gag Grouper, and more. Using light and heavy tackle, you can attract them by bottom, deep sea, drift, and handline fishing, as well as by trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping.

Young anglers are always welcomed! Captain Ryan enjoys teaching the young about fishing, baiting the hook, and casting that first cast. He loves watching the smile on their face as they bring in their first catch.

The captain provides all the equipment and licenses needed for a fun day of fishing. Not only he can clean your catch so it’s ready for cooking, but will even offer suggestions for preparing it. All you should bring is some sunscreen and polarized glasses.

Offshore high speed wahoo fishing. This trip goes to the ledge high speed trolling for wahoo at 15+mph. This is the captains favorite trip! These fish are true giants at up to 100lbs and swimming at speeds up to 60mph! We can troll the whole time or go bottom fishing for various snapper and grouper and triggerfish after. As these trips highly depend on the weather, the captain will decide closer to departure if there will be a trip and how it will look like. All the plans will be considered together.

The trip includes all the rods, reels, tackle, licenses, as well as everything needed for the trip!

1/2 Day 4hr Trip – Inshore or Shark

This afternoon trip allows you have the same action-packed experience that the morning trip provides. Embark on Florida's gorgeous waters and go after a real man-eater! You and Captain Ryan will be fishing from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1/2 Day (PM) 4hr Trip–Inshore/Shark

Spring and summertime only. This will be a short trip, but lots of fun.Since this is a short trip it’s generally within 15miles. Contact Captain Ryan to go over where you'll be going and what type of fishing you will be doing. It all depends on the time of year. The trip starts at 8:00 a.m. and includes everything you need for a great day of fishing.

1/2 Day 4hr Trip –Offshore/Kingfish

Spring and summertime only. Since this is a short trip it will be within 15miles. Enjoy an afternoon on the water and have lots of fun chasing some lovely species. Feel free to reach out to Captain Ryan and discuss where your trip will take place and what kind of fishing you'll be doing. The precise locations and conditions will depend on the time of year.

1/2 Day (PM) 4hr Trip – Offshore

If you want to catch a real man-eater or fish inshore, this is the trip for you! Starting at 8:00 a.m., you and Captain Ryan will have a great time chasing redfish, trout, flounder, tarpon, and sheepshead or sharks for 6 hours. The trip includes all the rods, reels, tackle, licenses, and everything needed for the trip!

3/4 Day 6hr Trip – Inshore or Shark

If you want to catch a real man-eater or fish inshore, this is the trip for you! Starting at 2:15 pm., you and Captain Ryan will have a great time chasing redfish, trout, flounder, tarpon, and sheepshead or sharks for 6 hours. The trip includes all the rods, reels, tackle, licenses, and everything needed for the trip!

3/4 Day (PM) 6hr Trip–Inshore/Shark

This offshore trip includes offshore trolling, for kingfish, cobia, or bottom fishing within 30 miles. The trip is dependent on the weather and Captain Ryan will decide when and how it will take place and discuss the details with you. The trip isn't recommended for children.
