Make an adventure out of your next trip in Cape Charles and go fishing with Tidewater Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Tyler, Kevin, or Jon will be prepared to put you on fish. 

These waters are known for Flounder, Speckled Trout, Striped Bass, Tautog, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, and more. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. 

Tidewater Charters welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! 

You'll step aboard a 21' Parker Bay boat that holds up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
