Your Fishing Charter

Book your next trip with Shore Thing Charters and find out what the fishing in Ocean City, Maryland is all about. Your guide for the day is Captain James, allowing you to benefit from years of local experience.

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Flounder, Rockfish, Bluefish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, and whatever else is biting. You’ll target your catch by light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. James also offers Flounder gigging.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!

Capt. James will bring you aboard a 24’ Downeast with room for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
