If you're ready to discover fishing in Ucluelet, we've got you covered with Big Bite Charters.

Top targets include Coho Salmon, Lingcod, Halibut, Chinook Salmon, Rockfish, and more, depending on when you go. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Laurier and Capt. Graham also offer fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. 

The captains operate an 18' Nor-Del center console with space for 2 passengers. It comes with downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
