Your Fishing Charter

If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Open Water Charters. Your guide for the day is Captain Brett, offering years of sportfishing experience.

Around here the fishing is popular for Fluke, Bluefish, Black Seabass, Striped Bass, Scup (Porgy), Tautog, Red Hake, Shark and more if you come at the right time of year. On the day of your trip you’re likely to drift fish using heavy tackle. Light tackle would be available when fishing inshore.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

You’ll be fishing aboard a 32’ Albermarle sportfishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 20% tip is customary.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

It’s never a bad idea to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

  The captain knows what is running best and the conditions for the day and will help determine the targeted species and methods for a Sunday on the water. 
  Rods, reels, bait, tackle and ice are included. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you to take home.

Our AM 3 hr trip gets you out on the fishing grounds and back in time for pancakes. We are within a short ride from some of the most productive fishing spots on Long Island.

AM Special: 3hrs (7AM)

Our 3 hr morning trip gets you out on the fishing grounds and back with time to cook your fish for lunch. We are within a short ride from some of the most productive fishing spots on Long Island.

Late AM Special: 3hrs (10:30 AM)

Our early AM half day accommodates those that want to be first on the fishing grounds. We can target inshore species in season like fluke, striped bass, bluefish, sea bass, porgies and weakfish.

Early AM Half Day: 4hrs (6AM)

Noon Half Day Trip: 4hrs (12:30)

Our 5hr trip provides an opportunity to fish multiple areas for differnt species if desired.

9am Sweet Spot (5hr)

Our 6 hour trip allows for the opportunity to different tide condition, fish for multiple species and perhaps run to some of our choice fishing spots that might be a little out of reach for our shorter trips.  

3/4 Day: 6hrs (6AM)

Our 8 hour trip provides the opportunity to hit some of our productive fishing spots that may be out of reach on our shorter trips.  You also will have the opportunity to target different species while fishing different phases of the tide.

Full Day: 8 hrs (6AM)

The waters off Montauk are well within reach of our port.  We sail east from Shinnecock Inlet to Montauk for the opportunity to catch monster ocean fluke and sea bass.  Typically we are drifting deep water structure with large strip baits.
