Your Fishing Charter

Explore the deep offshore waters out of Puerto Vallarta with Viking Fishing Charters and have an adventure of a lifetime! Captains Santana Ceja have been fishing the abundant waters of Puerto Vallarta for more than 18 years. They prides themselves on providing guests with exciting and memorable fishing adventures.

You’ll enjoy your trip on the Viking, a 25’ Mako center console boat. It's powered by two new Yamaha 4 stroke engines, so you don’t have to waste time getting to where the fish are. The vessel is outfitted with tuna tubes and a live bait tank, and has a capacity of 5 anglers, making it ideal for a day out with a few friends.

The captains use quality fishing equipment to make sure you have the best chance of getting that prized game fish on the boat. You'll fish using Shimano reels and Callstar rods, as well as various other types of tackle, to accommodate a variety of fishing situations you might find yourself in. 

Depending on the duration of the trip, you’ll either fish inside the bay for Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, and Bonito, or troll far offshore for the likes of Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Roosterfish, and other popular pelagics. After the trip, the captain will be happy to clean and bag your fish so you can take it home to the table for a taste.

Feel free to bring your kids if you want to make some new family memories in the blue waters. Drinks will be provided on board, just bring some food on longer trips so you can stay refreshed. Pack some sunscreen as well, and you’re all set!

6 Hour Trip – Combined Excursion

This is a trip that will take you from Marieta Islands to Corbeteña. On the deep sea trips, you venture up to 20–35 miles in search of big Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, Sailfish, and Mahi Mahi. The captain will have all the equipment ready for you, just bring some sunscreen, and you're ready for an amazing fishing adventure!

8 Hour Trip – Offshore (20+ miles)

On this trip, you'll target big Marlin and Tuna, as well as Sailfish and Mahi Mahi. All the fishing gear will be ready for you on board, just pack some snacks and sun protection, and get ready to have an unforgettable time in these deep productive waters!

10 Hour Trip – Corbeteña Fishing

This is a trip for the professional angler looking to spend a lot of time on the open waters. You'll target big Yelowfin Tuna, Blue and Black Marlin, some Mahi Mahi, as well as Sailfish. You'll go out 50–60 miles offshore. The captain will provide you with all the equipment, just bring some food and some sunscreen, and get ready to make some amazing memories!

12 Hour Trip – Offshore (50 miles)

For big game fishing grounds for big Marlin and Tuna, you'll need to go between 50 and 70 miles off the coast of Puerto Vallarta. All the fishing equipment will be ready for you on board, just pack some food and some sun protection, and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime!
