Spend the day with Papagayo Ocean Adventures and get hooked on fishing in Coco! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Gary is prepared to put you on fish.

These waters are known for Mahi Mahi, Billfish, Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. Captain Gary supplies the boat with the best rods and reels Penn International has to offer. Top of the line for trolling or bottom fishing!

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 33’ Pursuit Cabin Cruiser with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a walk in bathroom downstairs for your convenience.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can’t go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray)! The charter provides fresh fruits, chips/ salsa/guacamole , sandwiches, bottled water, assorted soda and Costa Rica beer!

3/4 Day Fishing Trip

We leave Playa del Coco early at 6 am . We head north to the World Famous surfing location… Witches Rock ! You will encounter pristine waves that break beautifully on a sandy bottom. Enjoy lunch on the boat and spend the rest of day trolling for a big Mahi or Wahoo for dinner! This is a popular trip for the surfers who  enjoy the best of both worlds …. fishing and surfing ! Come with us to enjoy this PuraVida experience!

This is our most booked trip! It has everything the family can do … spend a couple of hours fishing for your dinner then finish off with some snorkeling and tubing! A great family package! We provide the snorkeling equipment, fresh fruits , snacks, sandwiches, along with bottled water , assorted sodas and Costa Rican beer !

It has a morning of fishing for your dinner then we head in to one of our beautiful bays for lunch on the boat followed by a beach with sea caves to explore and then finish the day off with snorkeling, tubing , wakeboarding and subwings ! A great family fun day on the water !!!

Family Fun Day/ Fishing /Watertoys

This is a trip for only 2 surfers ! We specialize in this trip! Not only do we surf the World Famous Witches Rock…but we troll for dinner all the way to Ollie’s Point! This surf spot is the most remote and only is accessible by boat… it’s a right handed reef break that peels across the rocky mountain side of the bay . We anchor up and prepare fresh caught fish on the grill along with a salad and baked potato.We surf the morning and catch Witches Rock on the way back to Coco ! The PuraVida Life !
