This is a FEDERALLY permitted vessel, Not State licensed. 

Fishing out of Panama City, Florida, Reel Deal Fishing Charters offers rod-bending fishing trips aboard their recently renovated classic Egg Harbor boat, “Short Fuse.” They enjoy taking anglers of all ages and experience levels aboard their boat for unforgettable days of fishing. And, get ready since the Red Snapper season starts from June 1 - August 27! 

If you’re looking for a shared charter, please send us a message, as these will not show up as available unless there is already one in the works or take a look at Reel Deal Charters’ other listing and our state vessel, “Deep Water.”

The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 41’ Egg Harbor and it has been fully restored in 2024, with up-to-date equipment and modern comforts, to make sure your day on the water is truly special. Powered by twin 350 HP Caterpillar engines, the boat will take you quickly and safely to the fishing grounds, and its full range of fish-finding electronics will ensure you are fishing the best spots for the bite on the day. The boat also features a clean, air-conditioned cabin, as well as a full head.

Reel Deal Fishing Charters offers a wide range of trips, giving you the chance to try everything from a 3 Hr-Gilligan Tour to fishing for Red Snapper and other species on 12-hour trolling and bottom fishing trips. In the spring, the fishing is great for Spanish Mackerel  and as the weather warms up trolling for King Mackerel and bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Grouper, Vermillion Snapper, White Snapper, and many more. It just gets more and more enjoyable.

Reel Deal Fishing – Short Fuse

On this 4-hour trolling trip, you'll target Spanish and King Mackerel, Bonita,  and whatever else might be swimming by, maybe even a Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, or a Sailfish! The captain usually trolls 4 lines at a time. The boat stays in motion, for the most part, unless a fish is on. You'll drag lures or sparklers, with or without live bait. Please inquire with the captain about the departure time.

SF 8 hr SHARED SNAPPER 8/9, 8/11

On this trip, you'll most likely stay in the beautiful St. Andrew's Bay while trolling for some fun to catch species as well as watching for playful dolphins!  You'll target Spanish Mackerel, Hardtails, Ladyfish, Blue Runners, and whatever else happens to bite! The departure time for this trip will vary, depending on what other trips are scheduled and what time sunset is. Be sure to put your availability in the comments!  This trip can be flexible departure, not only sunset.

SF 3 Hour –Gilligan Sunset Troll

On this 4-hour trolling trip, you'll target Spanish and King Mackerel, Bonita,  and whatever else might be swimming by, maybe even a Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, or a Sailfish! The captain usually trolls 4 lines at a time. The boat stays in motion, for the most part, unless a fish is on. You'll drag lures or sparklers, with or without live bait.

This 6-hour trip is bottom fishing + hi speed trolling from and back to dock. We target all the fish that are in season – various Snapper and Grouper species, as well as other bottom dwellers. Goal: fish in the box! The usual departure time is 6AM.  Fun for the whole family! SNAPPER Jun 1

SF 6 hr Seasonal or Snapper 101 AM

This 6-hour trip is bottom fishing + hi speed trolling from and back to dock. We target all the fish that are in season – various Snapper and Grouper species, as well as other bottom dwellers. Goal: fish in the box! The usual departure time is 12–2 P.M. (Depending on morning trip arrival if applicable). SNAPPER  Jun 1
