San Francisco has a fish with your name on it, so let NorCal Traditions Sportfishing help you catch it!

There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Halibut, Striped Bass, Rockfish, Lingcod, Leopard Shark, Sturgeon, Albacore Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and more with any luck. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll or drift live bait, depending on the season. 

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. We recommend children be over 8 years old. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach! 

Your vessel for the day is a 24' Raider aluminum fishing boat with space for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. They supply everything but lunch, drinks and license. 

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work and long hours. 

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

This is a crab only trip. Limit is 10 crab per person.

Do you want a workout? Catching sharks all day is fun. There's nothing else like it. This is an awesome fishery with nonstop action, as long as we can find them. (We always find them)
Leopard sharks, soupfin sharks, seven gill sharks. If you want to keep them, we will take good care of them by bleeding, gutting, and icing right away so they will be great eating.

Full Day Trip – Shark

We will be trolling for halibut in the San Francisco Bay. Sometimes we have the opportunity to catch striped bass, sharks, and rays as well, however halibut is the main target. The best months are April through August.

We will meet at a launch ramp somewhere in the delta closest to the fish. We fish the tides. This is catch and release only on sturgeon. We can keep stripers.

Sturgeon full day

We drop hoops for crab on the way out to catch rockfish. Then pick up crab on the way back in. Rockfish limit is 10. Crab limit is also 10.

Dfg has given us select dates for salmon fishing. The season will end when the quota is filled so book early.

Ocean Salmon

Do you like fish tacos? Adventure the Pacific coastline and catch the best views while catching some of the best tasting fish.

Full Day Trip – Rockfish/Lingcod

We can go up to 50 miles offshore in search for the ideal water that albacore like. Once we find the warm clear water, we drop the gear in and troll. When we find the target fish, this can be an actioned packed day. This is my personal favorite fish to catch. These fish can swim 40 mph while inland fish only swim 8mph. They will literally pull your arms off. They also taste amazing fresh and we carry ice to keep them that way.

Albacore

This is a long day on the ocean. If you get seasick, this is not for you. If you love adventure, you will love this trip.
