Hi, I’m Captain Harvey Wall, owner of Salty Dawg Fishing Charters. With 25 years of guiding experience and as a proud U.S. Army veteran, my goal is simple: keep you safe, help you catch the fish you’re after, and make your day unforgettable.

Whether it’s your first charter or your hundredth, I’ll tailor the trip to your pace, style, and abilities so you have a blast.

Trips priced per group, not per angler. You can bring up to 4 people.

All charters are private. Only your group and the Captain will be onboard.

Trips I Offer:

— Kids Fishing Charters (2 hours)
For kids ages 12 and under. We fish calm water for easy-to-catch species to keep your kids engaged and having fun. Everyone fishes!

— Inshore Fishing Charters (4 hours)
Fish calm backwaters for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead.

— Nearshore Fishing Charters (4 or 6 hours)
Fish 1–10+ miles offshore around reefs & wrecks for Mackerel, Cobia, Sea Bass, Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, and more. Trolling and/or bottom fishing.

— Shark Fishing Charters (4, 6, or 8 hours)
Fish 1–10+ miles off the beach to target sharks like Hammerheads, Tiger Sharks, and more (most 20–80+ lbs). Safe, fun for all ages.

— Captain's Choice Fishing Charters (4 hours)
Perfect if you're unsure of which trip to choose. On this trip I will pick everything for you based on conditions and where I think we will catch the most fish.

— Bull Redfish Fishing Charters (4 or 6 hours)
Seasonal trip for trophy redfish.  This trip puts you on the hunt for a once in a lifetime redfish of 35 to 45 inches with an honest chance at a 50 incher!

As a father of 3 and grandfather of 2, Captain Harvey loves introducing kids to fishing! This 2 hour kids fishing charter (3-5 PM Daily), fishes safe and calm backwaters for easy-to-catch species to keep kids engaged. Requires at least 1 angler age 12 or under with a parent/guardian. 4 anglers / passengers max. Everyone fishes! All gear, bait, tackle, licenses included.  No experience needed!

KIDS FISHING - 2 Hours

IMPORTANT: We meet near Little River, SC—not in Myrtle Beach—at 67 Causeway Drive, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469. This saves over 90 minutes of boat ride so you spend your time fishing the marshes and backwaters, instead of riding.

Join Captain Harvey for an inshore saltwater trip on the ICW, creeks, and marshes targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. Family-friendly; no experience needed.
All equipment, bait, tackle, and licenses included. Max 4 passengers

INSHORE FISHING - 4 Hours

Join Capt Harvey for a 4-hour Nearshore Fishing trip. We'll fish from 1-10 miles out around reefs and shipwrecks, targeting King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Bonito, Sea Bass, Sharks, etc... Trolling and/or bottom-fishing based on the bite / season. If sea conditions don't cooperate, we'll fish inshore. All inclusive (bait/tackle/licenses), family-friendly. Max 4 passengers.

NEARSHORE - 4 HRS - 1-10 Miles Out

IMPORTANT: WE WILL NOT MEET IN MYRTLE BEACH.  We will meet at 67 Causeway Drive, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469. This saves ~90 minutes of boat ride so you spend your time fishing, not commuting.

Fish 0–3 miles off the beach for hard-fighting sharks (20–100+ lbs). If seas aren’t safe, we’ll switch to calm inshore waters and target what’s biting instead of sharks.

All gear, tackle, bait, and licenses included. Family-friendly—no experience needed. Max 4 passengers.

SHARK FISHING - 4 Hours

NEARSHORE - 4 HRS - 1-10 Miles Out - 10:45 AM

SHARK FISHING - 4 Hours - 10:45 AM

IMPORTANT: WE WILL NOT MEET IN MYRTLE BEACH! We will meet at 67 Causeway Drive, Ocean Isle Beach, NC (30 min north of Myrtle Beach). This will save you about 90 minutes of boat ride time, giving you more fishing time.

We'll fish Little River Inlet and the nearshore reefs and beaches (0-3 miles out) for Bull Redfish averaging 35-45 inches, with an honest  chance at a 50 incher! 

Gear, bait, tackle, license provided. Family-friendly, no experience needed. Max of 4 passengers.

TROPHY BULL REDFISH - 4 Hours

** IMPORTANT: WE WILL NOT MEET IN MYRTLE BEACH FOR THIS TRIP.  Meeting Address: 67 Causeway Drive, Ocean Isle Beach, NC. 

Join Capt Harvey for a 6-hour Nearshore Fishing trip. We'll fish up to 15  miles out around reefs and shipwrecks, targeting King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Bonito, Sea Bass, Sharks, etc... Trolling and/or bottom-fishing based on the bite / season. If sea conditions don't cooperate, we'll fish inshore. All inclusive (bait/tackle/licenses), family-friendly. Max 4 passengers.
