Your Fishing Charter

On The Run Charters offers incredible angling with an experienced captain in the bays and jetties surrounding Ocean City, MD. You’ll be greeted by Captain Dave Caffrey, who targets a variety of local fish and makes sure you have a memorable trip atop these waters!

Just like the charter name says – your targets will try to outrun you, but Capt. Dave does his best to help you reel in your catch. Hop aboard his 32’ Parker center console that can accommodate up to 6 anglers. She's equipped with GPS and Fishfinder, as well as a live well and an icebox to keep your catch fresh.

Onboard you’ll have the chance to try out spinning, jigging, trolling, and drift fishing on heavy or light tackle. If you’re feeling more adventurous, bring your bowfishing equipment with you onboard!

As you scan these inshore waters and bays, make sure to hold your rod tight. There’ll be Bluefish, Tautog, and even Striped Bass to reel in. To ensure your as effective as possible, Capt. Dave provides rods, reels, terminal tackle, and live bait.

Capt. Dave is a big believer in conserving the fish population in Maryland and catch and release fishing is encouraged. However, if you'd like to keep some of your catch, he's happy to clean and fillet it for you.

Before you set out, grab some snacks, sunscreen, and shades. Then jump into comfortable clothing and don't forget to bring your camera with you – you don’t want to miss capturing the excitement!

The wrecks are calling! Head out for an afternoon half day trip and get ready to hook into plenty of fish that love to hide around these structures.  All of the fishing equipment you need for a successful day is already on board so all you'll need to bring are snacks, sunscreen, and a camera. Your captain takes care of your license and will clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip.

Your captain takes care of your gear and licenses so all you need to bring are snacks, sunscreen, and comfy clothes. 

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM)

Head out for a productive half day of fishing in Ocean City! You'll target Flounder, Bluefish, Rockfish, and more, depending on seasonality. You'll explore a variety of fishing techniques with gear provided by your captain. Bring snacks, sunscreen, and comfy clothes and get ready to start reeling them in!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (PM)

Some sunset shark fishing people keep asking so now I'll offer will be my mate Anthony and captain Eric who mates for me in off season that will be running the trip Floyd can come upon request.

Head out into the wrecks and see what juicy fish are hiding in these structures! This is a great way to spend the morning if you're short on time in Ocean City. Capt. Dave provides all of the fishing gear you need for a successful day, as well as your license and a catch cleaning service. All you'll want to bring are any drinks and snacks you'd like to enjoy while you're on board!


4 Hour Trip – Wreck Fishing (AM)

Make te most of the Sheepshead fishing season! You'll hook into your daily limit of 10 with ease and reel into plenty of Drum, Tautog, and Rockfish too! This is a great opportunity to test your light tackle fishing skills with gear provided by Capt. Dave. Bring along drinks and snacks and you're all set to head out on your adventure!

6 Hour Trip – Sheepshead

Target your favorite inshore species, including Striped Bass, Redfish, Bluefish, and more on a full day adventure! You'll explore the many bays and jetties in the waters surrounding Ocean City and use gear provided by Capt. Dave to reel in your targets. Bring along enough drinks and snacks to keep you going, as well as sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing.

8 Hour Trip – Inshore

Head into the wrecks and see what fish come your way! You'll spend the full day targeting Flounder, Seabass, and much more with gear provided by Capt. Dave. Be sure to bring along enough drinks and snacks to get you through the day and don't forget the sunscreen either!
