If you're going to cast a line in Berkeley, look no further than Reel Addiction Sportfishing.

Around here it's common to catch Halibut, Lingcod, Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Salmon, Crab, Striped Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, Rockfish, Black Rockfish, and more, depending on conditions. On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. 

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! 

You'll be casting lines from a 34' Duckworth sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
