Slacktide Sportfishing will take you to some of the best fishing adventures on Vancouver Island. There’s a variety of trips to choose from, ranging from just 5 hours to whole 3 days. Whether you’re a beginner or an avid angler, there’s a spot for you on this boat. Captain Andrew will be your guide and host, ready to assist when you need him and adjust the trip to get the fish you’ve always wanted. 

You’ll be fishing on a 27’ Kingfisher Escape boat that accommodates up to 5 guests. This fishing vessel features a fully enclosed cabin with heating and lots of comfortable seating space. The boat is powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and reaches the speed of 40 knots. Besides modern navigational electronics, the boat also has a private toilet.

Depending on the trip you choose, you can go after Halibut, Salmon, Crabs, Lingcod, and Rockfish. A special treat for all hard-core anglers is a 3-day fishing experience, starting in Tofino or Ucluelet. This is one of the best ways to explore the west coast of the Vancouver Island and upgrade your fishing skills. 

The captain will prepare your equipment and clean the catch after the trip. You’ll need to cover your fishing license and pack food and drinks for the day. It’s recommended to have layered clothing.

This afternoon trip is an inshore fishing experience along the coastline, inner banks or Barkley Sound just a short trip outside of Ucluelet. Enjoy the coastal waters of Vancouver Island near Pacific Rim National Park & Reserve, and experience the best in west coast Salmon fishing and sightseeing!

5 hr afternoon trip gives us time to hit a few different areas fishing for salmon and bottomfish.

This trip we will start out by dropping in crab pots before we head out and search for salmon, halibut and lingcod. 
With the herring spawn that goes on around salmon beach there is a good chance we will see whales and marine life.

Experience both Salmon and Halibut fishing on our inner banks, along the coastline, or in Barkley Sound. Choose from a first-light or afternoon departure (subject to availability), where you'll get to experience the best of Salmon and Halibut fishing on the west coast of Vancouver Island!

6 Hour Trip – Salmon & Halibut

In this 8-hour fishing package, you'll fish anywhere from the coastline to the outer banks, 'Big Bank' for Salmon and Halibut. Heading to the Big Bank brings you 20 miles offshore, where it's not uncommon to hook into 50+ Salmon in a day. Departing at first light, you'll get to experience the best of Salmon and Halibut fishing on the west coast of Vancouver Island!

8 Hour Trip – Salmon & Halibut

3 full days of total West Coast experience. 8 hours a day, dock to dock, fishing for Salmon, Halibut, and crabbing. This package includes fish processing and packaging so no need to worry about your catch while you're here. The trip is subject to availability.
