Your Fishing Charter

Skull Fishing runs offshore fishing trips filled with action around the atolls of the Maldives. Located on the central island, Skull Fishing can put you on game fish in no time. They cater to anglers of all levels, so if you happen to visit this little piece of paradise, a trip with Skull Fishing crew will make your stay even more memorable.

These fisheries are home to a variety of popular species. Depending on where you navigate your charter, you can hope to catch a true prize. Some 20-50 miles out, you can get Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, using trolling and jigging techniques.

If you’d rather stay around the inshore shallows you can do popping, casting, and other muscle popping action to get Giant Trevally, Barracuda, Emperor, Grouper, or Snapper. Around the reefs, families will find a perfect match as they take a dip in azure waters and still do fishing for Emperor, Job Fish, Snapper, or Trevally.

You will be fishing from an Offshore 25 center console, built in 2017. She is powered by two 115 HP Mercury engines and will grant you both speed and stability. The vessel can accommodate up to ten anglers, although groups of six will have the optimum space for fishing and enjoyment.

The boat is rigged with navigational electronics, has leather sofas, stereo sound system, an ice box, a private toilet, and stores safety equipment, and a snorkeling toolkit. Simply put, it is fit to put you on the local fish.

When you come onboard, you will get Shimano and Penn gear, as well as lures, depending on the type of package and target species. The crew can also provide pick-up from other atolls nearby, at a different price.

Snacks and soft drinks are served on shorter trips, whereas you will also have a lunch on a full day trip. You don’t need to go through the hassle with the fishing license. What you should bring is a camera to get a nice shot of your catch, a cap, sunblock, and personal belongings. Pack and come claim your catch!

This trip is made for hardcore anglers. From a depth of more than 30 meters, 20-50 miles offshore, you will travel around deep water between atolls to get Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Dorado, GT, Dogtooth Tuna, and Wahoo. You can start with trolling in the morning, then switch to popping mid-noon, use time after lunch for jigging, and do some afternoon fishing after. Make sure you bring your A-game for this fight. Meals, snacks and drinks included. Departure time is as per your convenience. Bring a camera.

This trip is great for families who want to take a dip and cool down in the azure sea and go snorkeling around coral waters. You enjoy the Maldivian style of line fishing. It is typically reef and inshore fishing, mostly at depths of up to 30 meters. You can target Emperor, Job Fish, Trevally and Snapper, using light jigging, trolling and popping. The departure time can vary. You will get snacks and soft drinks, as well as gear.

Half Day Trip – Hooking (AM)

Use your afternoon to get a taste of the local fish! This package will see you fishing around inshore flats and reef in search of GTs, some Snapper, Job Fish, and Emperor. The trip is suitable for families with kids who want to have a nice time out, throw some lures, and maybe even try the traditional line fishing. You will normally fish at depth of up to 30 meters. Snacks and soft drinks are supplied, you need a sunblock and a cap. Pack a camera and comfortable clothes. The trip can start at other times.

Half Day Trip – Hooking (PM)

This six hour trip is ideal to try casting and medium to heavy tackle jigging. You will go around reef, inshore and offshore in search of Barracuda, Emperor, Job Fish, Grouper, Snapper, GT and possibly Tuna on a good day. To minimize the distance travelled and maximize the time spent fishing, the crew will take you around inner atoll and its outskirts. Depending on the location, you can still visit FADs for some monster hunting. The departure time can vary. Great for skilled anglers.
