Terry’s Guide Service LLC is a fishing charter that does regular fishing trips in Upper Galveston Bay, 20 minutes from Houston, Texas. It is owned and operated by Captain Ken Terry, who has more than 25 years of experience fishing these waters and is eager to show you what fishing these waters is all about. All anglers are welcome aboard, as are group trips.

You will be fishing on a 24’ Kenner boat, that is powered by a 250 HP Mercury Pro XS engine, that can have it going up to an impressive 48 knots. Apart from all the necessary safety and navigation gear you would need for a good trip, the boat also has a wireless trolling motor for when you need to run silently.

Captain Ken offers full day and half day Boat fishing trips in the Upper Galveston Bay waters, where you will be targeting fish like Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Trout, and more. Captain Ken also offers trips to individuals that prefer wading sandflats, reefs and shorelines. His personal favorite is going after aggressive schools of Redfish and Trout with a big topwater lure. 

The price of the trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle, and it is up to you to bring a current fishing license with a saltwater stamp. Those who want to go on a wading trip will need to bring their own waders and assorted gear. Captain Ken will clean your catch after the trip so you don’t have to. Make sure to also pack a pair of polarized sunglasses, some food and drinks if you’re so inclined, and you’re all set.

This trip involves Drift / Boat fishing in the Upper Galveston Bay Complex, 20 minutes from Houston. You will be fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout Drum & Flounder. All fishing equipment and lures supplied - Live bait can be furnished at an additional price. Texas saltwater fishing license required. 

Fishing 5 Hour Trip (AM)

A maximum of 3 anglers on a full day on the water is definitely the best way to acquaint yourself with the Upper Galveston Bay fishery, 20 minutes from Houston. You will be drifting / boat fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Drum, Flounder & Sheepshead. The trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle. Live bait can be supplied at an additional cost. Texas saltwater fishing license required.

Fishing 8 hour Trip (MAX 3)

Max 3 persons for trips including lodging. Arrive the night before for a good night's sleep before chasing redfish, speckled trout, and other species along the gulf coast. Or, after your private chartered trip, retreat to a quiet single-bedroom apartment for freshening up before enjoying one of many nearby restaurants. Return to relax with some television and downtime before turning in for the evening. Light breakfast and coffee provided.  Lodging is based on availability. Check-in 3 pm, check-out 11 am.

5 Hour – Fishing w/ Lodging (MAX 3)

Max 3 persons for trips including lodging. Full day, 8 hours. These trips are seasonal, running from October through May. Fish for redfish, speckled trout, and other species along the gulf coast. Arrive the evening before your private chartered trip or retreat to this quiet single-bedroom apartment for freshening up afterwards. You can enjoy one of the many restaurants nearby. Light breakfast and coffee are provided. Lodging is based on availability. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m.
