Your Fishing Charter

In The Slot Fishing invites you on a fishing trip around the flats, inshore fisheries, nearshore reefs, and offshore waters to have a go at some of the most iconic fish Florida has.

Based in Cedar Key, Capt. Jason’s charter is your gateway to get Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Black Seabass, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Tarpon, Mackerel, and more. These fish bite well year-round and you will have an experienced captain by your side.

Capt. Jason has been fishing these waters for over 20 years and has the know-how to turn your trip into a productive fishing outing. He has been working as a captain for over a decade and likes having people onboard no matter how skilled they are. His goal is to take anglers out on the water and share his experience and passion with them.

You will find Capt. Jason at the helm of his 21’ Carolina Skiff flats boat that is powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine. She can take up to 5 people and give them a good view of the nearby fisheries. Step on the fishing platform and look for the bite! The vessel is fitted with GPS a fishfinder, and has a live well, an ice box, and the safety gear. You will also find the fishing gear onboard.

The captain will get the bait before the trip, so you can get down to fishing once you board the boat. You can try jigging, popping, drift fishing, and bottom fishing too. All the gear is supplied onboard, along with the license. You should pack food, beverages, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera. Kids are allowed to come along and should be at least a year old.

Inshore fishing can be as exciting as the offshore waters, especially here where you can get super big Redfish, Trout, Black Seabass, Flounder, Tarpon, Black Drum, and so much more. Get your camera, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, as well as food and some drinks. The captain will take care of the rest, including fishing rods, reels, tackle, bait, and licenses. This package is suitable for anglers with some experience or real enthusiasts.
