Based in Cedar Key, Capt. Jason's charter is your gateway to get Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Black Seabass, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Tarpon, Mackerel, and more. These fish bite well year-round and you will have an experienced captain by your side.
Capt. Jason has been fishing these waters for over 20 years and has the know-how to turn your trip into a productive fishing outing. He has been working as a captain for over a decade and likes having people onboard no matter how skilled they are. His goal is to take anglers out on the water and share his experience and passion with them.
You will find Capt. Jason at the helm of his 24' Sea Fox flats boat that is powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine. She can take up to 5 people and give them a good view of the nearby fisheries. Step on the fishing platform and look for the bite! The vessel is fitted with GPS a fishfinder, and has a live well, an ice box, and the safety gear. You will also find the fishing gear onboard.
The captain will get the bait before the trip, so you can get down to fishing once you board the boat. You can try jigging, popping, drift fishing, and bottom fishing too. All the gear is supplied onboard, along with the license. You should pack food, beverages, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera. Kids are allowed to come along and should be at least a year old.

We booked Captain Jason for my wife's birthday, and it turned out to be a fantastic day on the water. We fished all day and ended up with over 20 catches — far exceeded our expectations. Captain Jason was incredibly personable and kept the energy great throughout the trip. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a guide who's as enjoyable to be around as he is skilled on the water.
my son and i recently went on a four hour trip with captain Jason. Amazing time out we did have wind and rough choppy water but the captain tried and tried to get us in the right spots to hook up and catch fish. overall my son and I had an amazing time we caught a lot of fish. would definitely recommend going out with captain Jason.
Jason put us on to fish out in the grass flats. Caught many trout and both my wife and I caught our limit (in fact had to throw back “keeper” trout). Boat is comfortable and functional. Jason grew up there and knows the waters. Very accommodating and interesting to talk to about the area. We’ll use him again on our next trip.
