“Fishing with a local” is a staple of what experienced anglers are looking for, someone who knows the local fishing spots, the habits of the fish, and all the hidden bays and holes that produce the best catch. Local Knowledge Fishing Charters does precisely that, bringing you to the hottest fishing spots around and putting you on the best bite. His boat has a very shallow draft, allowing for excellent movement in the inshore waters around St. Augustine. The engine is an outstanding 225 HP Yamaha SHO, allowing you to fly across the water at 60 knots. It’s also equipped with a wireless trolling motor, to keep her steady as you measure that first cast.

Captain Lehman Norman will be your guide and assistant on this charter. He’s a 4th generation Floridian that has been fishing the St. Augustine area since he was a kid, he knows his locale well. You can expect to target a variety of species on this charter, from Redfish, Flounder, and Black Drum, all the way to Cobia, Mangrove Snappers, Jack Crevalles, and many more species you run across.

Live bait is prepared for customers before they arrive for their trip. All equipment that is required is provided by the captain. There is no minimum age policy for kids and Local Knowledge Fishing Charters invites anglers of all sizes and ages to join them on this excellent fishing adventure!

This trip will take you flyfishing in the inshore waters around St. Augustine. You can expect to target Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and Redfish. The charter will provide all necessary equipment to the customers.

Half Day (PM) - Inshore Flyfishing

This trip will take you to the waters of St. Augustine and surrounding areas. The targeted species are Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder. All required equipment is provided by the charter captain.

Half Day Trip (PM) - Inshore

This trip will take you stalking the inshore waters around St. Augustine. The target species are Redfish, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. Customers are advised to bring a waterproof camera, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and adequate clothing.

Full Day Trip - Inshore

A full day out on the water flyfishing through the areas surrounding St. Augustine sounds like a dream, but this trip is real. You can target Redfish, Black Drum or Spotted Seatrout. All equipment you may need is provided by the captain.

Full Day Trip - Inshore Flyfishing

You will fish the sea near the coast of St. Augustine. The target species are Tarpon, Cobia, King Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Sharks, and Bonita. All required equipment is provided by the captain.

Half Day Trip (AM) - Nearshore

This trip will take you fishing in the nearshore waters of St. Augustine. The fish you will target are Tarpon, Cobia, King Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Sharks, and Bonita. All required equipment is supplied to you by the charter operators.
