Catching Fire Fishing Charters offer amazing fishing trips around Jacksonville. Captain Chad Duncan has been fishing in this area for more than 30 years. As he loves fishing tournaments, he designed the trips he runs in a similar style. This listing offers Captain Chad’s inshore trips, but make sure to visit his second listing if you’re interested in going offshore.

Capt. Chad welcomes you aboard his 18’ flats boat. She can accommodate 2 anglers (+$50 for an additional angler. No more than 3. This boat is powered by a 250 HP Mercury engine and a wireless trolling motor for when you need to sneak up on fish. 

Your main fishing spots will be in the St. Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway. Depending on the season, you’re most like to catch Flounder, Sheepshead, Redfish, Trout, and Tarpon. Capt. Chad will prepare live bait in advance, but he can also teach you how to catch it – this is especially fun for kids. Luckily, most of these species can be kept and your captain will clean and fillet your catch after the trip. 

Kids of all ages and people of all fishing skills are welcome. You don’t have to be an angler when you first step on the boat, but you’ll definitely be one when you step off it. Capt. Chad is a great instructor and he will help you to catch your first fish. Join him and see what fishing is all about!

Go on a 6 hour fishing adventure in the St. Johns river and Intracoastal Waterway. Captain Chad will prepare your fishing equipment and also clean your catch after the trip. The boat is located at the Mayport Boat Ramp.
