Your Fishing Charter

Leave the bustling cultural hub of La Paz behind, and discover the open seas’ serene beauty. La Shina Sport Fishing invites you to explore the incredible marine life of the Gulf of California. Its mixture of reefs and unnaturally deep spots close to shore makes it a melting pot of extraordinary fish. The boat is operated by two captains, Jose and Carlos. Captain Jose Veliz has been fishing these waters for over 15 years, running charters for over 10, and claims his biggest thrill is seeing customers enjoying themselves. Carlos Ojeda Espinoza has 30 years of sport fishing experience and knows the area like his back pocket!

Trips take place aboard a 22’ Super Panga center console. A compact but agile vessel, she can traverse all kinds of water, and can accommodate up to 4 guests plus the crew. She offers some shade so that you can keep out of the sun, but you can also revel in it, with plenty of open space, too. She’s also a serious fishing boat. Fitted with outriggers, tuna tubes, and a live well, you’ll be on top as you try to lure and reel in some huge fish. 

Hit the reefs for some exceptional nearshore fishing. Try bottom fishing to entice delicious Snappers and Groupers, and you may also catch Spanish Mackerel, exotic Roosterfish, and more. Try snorkeling for an extra cost to swim closely with these beautiful specimen. When offshore, the waters are deep and the fish are huge. From beautiful, prized Marlin, to delicious Tuna and Mahi Mahi, you’ll need all your strength to hook ‘em aboard. 

At the end of your trip, the first mate will clean and prepare your fish for you to take to a restaurant and have it served up to you. From the start of the day – when you’ll be picked up at a hotel of your choice – right through to the end, you’ll be the boss. Trips with La Shina Sport Fishing have it all. Explore the open ocean waters by trolling with live bait. By doing so, you'll entice the bite of some delicious Mahi Mahi and Tunas, and even Billfish! This half-day trip takes place closer to the shore. You'll also be fishing over reefs for Snapper, Grouper, and Spanish Mackerel. This trip comes with everything necessary to explore the Gulf of California like a true pro!
