When you go fishing, it’s not just about filling up the cooler. You want to have a great time, be safe, maybe meet some fellow anglers, and create fishing memories that will last a lifetime. All of this and more is awaiting you when you book with Northern California Guide Service. Captain Robert Weese has decades of experience and is excited to get you out on the water and start catching fish.

From the get-go, you’ll feel close to the action in the 2017 24’ Alumaweld Jet boat, custom built to get the maximum out of the rivers that Capt. Robert fishes. Powered by a 400 HP Chevrolet engine, you’ll be at the fishing grounds before you know it. 

Once there, all 6 anglers can begin to fish simultaneously. Even if someone is fly fishing, you can still all fish at once! This is perfect for team buildings and family vacations. If you’re fly fishing, please bring your gear from home. 

The boat is fully equipped with safety and navigational equipment, as well as features that will give you that extra edge out on the water. This includes a wireless trolling motor to sneak up on the fish, and a live bait tank to keep your bait fresh and ready to go. 

The best time to come for Striped Bass is between April and May, although you’ll still find some numbers in the river from March through to August. Sturgeon and Rainbow Trout can be caught year round, but King Salmon can only be caught from July 16 through to mid-December. 

There are G Loomis and Shimano rods and reels included in the price. Live bait will be prepared for you before the day. Please bring along your own food and drink and a valid fishing license.

Children are welcome. If they aren’t fishing and are under 5, they can come along for free. Let the captain know in advance so he can prepare the life vests.

Spend 8-hours with other anglers chasing King Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Sturgeon, and Striped Bass. This shared trip is great for small groups who wish to join up with others. Fly fishing equipment is not included – you can bring your own along. All conventional fishing gear and tackle are provided.  You can bring along your own food and drink. Please buy a fishing license before the day begins.

Full Day Trip – Shared

Share your trip with other anglers and have a great time fishing the Sacramento River. Depending on the time of year, you'll be able to target Sturgeon, King Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and Striped Bass. If you wish to fly fish, you'll need to bring your own gear. Apart from that, everything else needed for a successful fishing day is included. You'll have to purchase a fishing license for the day and bring along any snacks and drinks you'd like.

Half Day Trip – Shared (AM)

Spend half a day fishing for Striped Bass, Sturgeon, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon. All rods and reels are included in the price, unless you wish to fly fish, in which case you are free to bring your own. Please buy a fishing license before the day. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Half Day Trip (AM)

We will be fishing for King Salmon,Wild Rainbow Trout,Steelhead and Striped Bass when in season.All fishing gear provided fish cleaned and processed.

Full evening trip pm

Share your trip with others, and make new fishing friends! Together, you'll target Striped Bass, Sturgeon, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon. If you want to fly fish, please bring your own equipment. You need to buy a fishing license before the first line is cast. It's a good idea to bring along some food and drinks too.

Half Day Trip – Shared (PM)

Have a wonderful afternoon fishing the Sacramento River for King Salmon, Striped Bass, Sturgeon, and Rainbow Trout. The gear and tackle are included in the price, unless you choose to fly fish, in which case you'll need to bring your own rods. You have to buy a fishing license before the trip, and are advised to bring some snacks and plenty of drinks, especially water.
