Book your next adventure with Daydreamer Fishing Charters and get ready to discover Lake Michigan with Captain Ben Orr! Your guide is a Traverse City native, born and raised, and has been running charters since 2003. If you’re looking to catch some fish for dinner and have a great time while doing so, look no further!

Your journey will take place on a 31’ Tiara offshore sportfisher. This vessel comes with all the latest features and fishing accessories to ensure a successful day on the water. She has a GPS and fishfinder to lead you to where the fish are hiding, downriggers for trolling, a wireless trolling motor for stealthy action, and many other amenities.

The boat’s cabin is comfortable and spacious, featuring a private head, galley, shower, and bed. She accommodates 6 guests and everyone can fish at the same time without bumping elbows. Capt. Ben welcomes kids ages 3 and older aboard and he provides life jackets for them as well.

Your main target species include Chinook and Coho Salmon, Whitefish, Steelhead, and Lake Trout. Capt. Ben will provide you with state-of-the-art rods and reels and make sure you’re all set up and ready to reel in a King Salmon! At the end of the trip, he’ll offer to clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready to be thrown on the grill once you get home.

All you need to do is purchase a Michigan Fishing License and arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time. You can get your fishing license online or at the dock before your trip. Capt. Ben will be more than happy to help you with that as well.

Feel free to bring snacks and drinks and get ready for an incredible experience of Salmon and Trout fishing on Lake Michigan! Capt. Ben will make sure you have a great time and leave all your worries behind while you fish with Daydreamer Fishing Charters!

Please note, you can purchase your Michigan State Fishing License online or at the dock with the captain. The early morning bite is always the best time to be out. Getting out early provides quick action! Mainly trout fishing and the salmon start to arrive in our area in mid July and get more popular through mid September!

Feel free to bring along some snacks and drinks for the ride and don't forget to bring extra layers of clothing as well. Fish on!

4 Hour Trip (Evening)

This trip is a great option for folks who want to sleep in and enjoy the warmer weather of the late morning and early afternoon. You'll mainly fish for Steelhead and Lake Trout during this time slot. All of your rods, reels, and tackle are included, just be sure to arrive 5 minutes early and purchase your fishing license online or at the dock with the captain. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks, and pack extra layers of clothing, sunscreen, and a pair of sunglasses!
