Captain Blake Nelson is the owner of Last Cast Charters. He grew up in Destin, FL, and has been fishing the Choctawhatchee Bay and Gulf Coast his whole life. He and his brother began fishing in professional Redfish tournaments after college as a hobby, and eventually, it became a career. He’s placed first in the IFA Redfish Tour and has won several other inshore fishing awards as well. In 2017, he became the world champion of the Destin Cobia Tournament after landing a 98.5 lb Cobia, the biggest one caught in 10 years. He decided to start his own charter service in 2008 because he loves meeting new people and sharing his passion with others. He’s made a lot of friends on the water and is looking forward to taking you on the adventure of a lifetime. Depending on the boat you book, your captain may also be Capt. Mitchell, Capt. Capt. Mitchell 4 hr morning trip
Me and my two boys met Capt Mitchell for a morning trip. He was early, had everything ready, very knowledgeable about the area and fishing spots and techniques. He was very down to earth and polite to my two boys who haven’t done the most fishing. Capt. Mitchell was also very patient and worked with the boys and put them on the fish! We are very appreciative of Capt. Mitchell and his professionalism, I would recommend him on any future trips! He also cleaned the fish flawlessly and bagged...

Great Trip - Great Captain!
Great from the booking until finish. Blake was on point with communication & quick to respond, including the day of when we woke up to thunderstorms and was quick to respond with the plan. Captain Justin was great - knew right where to go for bait and to start catching fish. My son caught a fish on the first cast! Our group of 5 had a blast and plenty of room on the boat as well (which I was worried was going to be crowded - and it wasn't). Highly recommend booking a trip with this crew!

Free cancellation up to 7 days prior to trip
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
