Last Cast Charters
Last Cast Charters will put you front and center against some of the biggest names in inshore sportfishing. Your guide for the day will be either Captain Blake Nelson, a Cobia and Redfish tournament world champion, or Captain Tanner Howell, an experienced local who’s been running the boat together with Capt. Blake for the past four years.
The captain’s vessel is a 24’ Skeeter Bay Boat, powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine so you can reach the fishing grounds in just 10 minutes. She comes with a wireless trolling motor, live bait tank, GPS, and fishfinder. In addition, there’s a tower above the center console so you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful view of the coastline.
Your main target species are Redfish, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, and many more. Destin’s inshore waters are a breeding ground for many species, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to leave with a nice fish that you can cook up for dinner.
Last Cast Charters is a family-run business, so Capt. Blake invites children of all ages to join in on the fun. He strives to make each trip a memorable and fulfilling experience for everyone and loves having families on board. He’s a patient, knowledgable, and entertaining guide, which is why people love coming back to his boat for more fishing!
Each customer will be provided with state-of-the-art rods and reels by Shimano and Penn. Your fishing license is also covered and Capt. Blake will offer to clean and fillet your catch free of charge. Just come down to the dock 10 minutes before departure to get set up, and feel free to bring some snacks and drinks as well.
Last but not least, don’t forget the sunscreen, and be sure to bring a hat and sunglasses. Get ready for an adventure off the coast of Destin, Florida and let Last Cast Charters show you the time of your life!

Highly Recommend!
AM trip was well worth it. Tanner is a skilled and knowledgeable captain who got us in all the right places to land a variety of fish including red drum, mangrove snapper, and spanish mackerel. We caught some live bait to start our trip off, and from there we were pretty much 100% lines in the water for the next 3 hours. Tanner did a great job at filleting the fish up for us when we were done, and we used the fillets to make fish tacos…feeding a group of 10 that night. This was one of the most successful and enjoyable charters I’ve been on.

Moore Family Fun with Last Chance Charters
We traveled from Washington state to Destin for a Spring Break family vacation, including our 15-year-old daughter and her best friend. Good captain, fun trip, tough day of fishing
We had a good time fishing with Captain Blue. It was a tough day on the water. We just managed to get our 4 hr trip in before Hurricane Francine passed through the Gulf. Very good service. Captain Blue is a super nice guy and the boat and rods are very nice. We caught a keeper red and mangrove snapper. We got bites at all the fishing spots fishing with live bait caught in the first ten minutes of our trip. We only managed to hook up with a few fish but that's more about our fishing experience and the weather conditions than the quality of the charter. All in all a good trip and I would recommend to all.
