Want to get away from Orlando's busy streets and experience its most treasured natural resource? You're in the right place, Lake Toho is the #1 big bass lake in the state and we fish it full time. This beautiful lake is located near Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and the Orlando Convention Center. 

Year after year, this lake produces more bass over 10 pounds in weight than any other lake in the country. Want proof? Just check out our pictures!  At any moment that one you're looking for could be on the other end of the line, and with our professional top of the line equipment anyone can fight them in! Just ask Capt. AJ himself who holds the second biggest bass ever caught out of the lake at 15 pounds 8 ounces and his mentor Ed Chancey holds the lake record with a 16 pound 10 ounce bass. 

AJ's Bass Guides has been in business since 1970, and is Orlando’s largest and oldest continuously-operated fishing guide service. Capt. AJ and his guides have also been featured in countless fishing TV shows and magazines. From In-fisherman, ESPN, ABC Sports, CBS Sports, and Bassmasters. 

With Capt. AJ you'll be fishing onboard a 20' Skeeter bass boat powered by a 225hp Mercury engine. It has all the latest fishing and safety equipment. All fishing gear and lures are provided, but you are also welcome to buy wild shiners as bait before the trip. They are $25 for a dozen and are the most effective big bass bait there is. Depending on the length of your trip, you can buy 3–7 dozen. 

Trips of 4 or more people are live bait only trips because of the danger of having that many people throw artificials at the same time. If you would like to fish artificials please book 3 or less people.

There is also lots of wildlife on the lake so make sure you bring a camera to capture stunning sights, from bald eagles, hawks, ospreys, various species of duck, as well as alligators. Be part of the action at AJ's Bass Guides!

Fish the last 2 1/2 hours of the day. The bass bite is best in the morning but if you aren't able to go then there is another good bite late in the afternoon.

The best way to catch them is on large golden wild shiners. They're $25 a dozen and we'll pick them up for you prior to the trip. For the 2.5 hour trip we recommend getting 3 dozen. You can fish artificials as well.

Special 2 and 1/2 hour peak fishing time trip. Fish only the peak first 2 and 1/2 hours of fishing time in the morning. Great if you're short on time. Also great for kids.

2 and 1/2 Hour Trip (AM)

This trip is great during the whole year. Bass tend to feed best in the morning so you'll be out during the peak time. 

The best way to catch them is on wild shiners that we will pick up for you prior to the trip. They are $25 per dozen. We recommend getting 4 dozen for the 4 hour trip. You can also use artificials if you prefer.

4 Hour Trip (AM)

This is a 4-hour afternoon trip. Fish the last 4 hours of the day. Fishing is best in the morning but if you aren't able to go then there is another good bite in the late afternoon.

The best way to catch them is on large golden wild shiners. They're $25 a dozen and we'll pick them up for you prior to the trip. For the 4 hour trip we recommend getting 4 dozen. You can fish artificials as well if you prefer

4 Hour Trip (PM)

This is a 5-hour trip, that is great year-round. It gives you plenty of time on the water and you'll be our during the peak time.

The best way to catch them is on large golden wild shiners. They're $25 a dozen and we'll pick them up for you prior to the trip. For the 5 hour trip we recommend getting 5 dozen. You can fish artificials as well if you prefer.

5 Hour Trip

This trip will allow more time on the water and a few changes in productive spots on Lake Toho. This trip runs year-round and is productive even in the summer months when bass lose interest in feeding around midday due to the heat. 

The best way to catch them is on wild shiners that we will pick up for you prior to the trip. They are $25 per dozen. We recommend getting 6 dozen for the 6 hour trip. You can also use artificials if you prefer.

6 Hour Trip

This trip runs in the fall and winter months, as bass do not enjoy feeding later in the day with the summer heat. 

The best way to catch them is on wild shiners that we will pick up for you prior to the trip. They are $25 per dozen. We recommend getting 7 dozen for the 8 hour trip. You can also use artificials if you prefer.
