Your Fishing Charter

Legit Fish Sport Fishing is based in Massachusetts Bay in Downtown Scituate. The crew knows all the hot fishing spots in the area and thrives to provide excellent service and outstanding catches to all its guests and friends.

Separating us from the rest of the fleet Step aboard the Legit Fish, a 30' Custom Center Console Contender powered by twin 250 HP engines. The vessel has a carrying capacity of six anglers and a maximum cruising speed of 50 knots. On board, you’ll find Lorwance navigational electronics and an Icom VHF radio. With an enclosed toilet, and a multimedia system, this boat is ideal for a comfortable day on the water.

Legit Fish Sport Fishing offers the widest variety of trips on the bay. You can target Bluefin Tuna and Striped Bass up to 25 miles offshore, or go even further off to take a lot of different species off your angling bucket list. As well as that, you can head out to Race Point for some of the best fishing opportunities in the area, or just dedicate your time on the water to chasing Cod or Striped Bass. Among the other targeted species are Bluefin Tuna, Pollock, Haddock, Porbeagle Shark, Thresher Shark, Bluefish, and Blue Shark.

During your trip, you may be using a variety of fishing techniques, including heavy tackle, bottom fishing, drift fishing, jigging, trolling, spinning, kite fishing,Fly, and popping. In case you are not in the mood for fishing, you can choose a Harbor cruise, where you will get a chance to watch whales at the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary.

Your trip with Legit Fish Sport Fishing will include your fishing equipment, such as rods, reels, and tackle, as well as lures and live bait. Once caught, your fish can be cleaned and filleted for you by the crew. All you need to bring with you is sun lotion, drinks, and snacks.

This trip is mainly bottom fishing on Stone Ledge. You’re fishing for 4 hours and the primary catch is Cod, Haddock, and Pollock. This trip is limited to 6 passengers. Great fun for all.

This trip is great for anglers looking to give themselves a couple of extra hours chasing that personal best Striped Bass. You will head out to Race Point for some of the best striper fishing around. This is a popular trip for families and corporate outings since it provides good action and tasty catch.

3/4 Day Trip – Striper (Weekdays)

This trip is perfect for anglers looking to test their bottom fishing skills against some of the area's most popular groundfish species. You'll head to some of the captain's favorite spots, targeting mainly Cod but also other tasty species such as Pollock and Haddock.

Full Day Trip – Ground (Weekdays)

This trip is a popular choice with families and corporate groups thanks to the great day of fun and angling action it provides. It will see you head out to Race Point, towards some of the best Striper fishing grounds in the area. Tackle is provided for up to 6 anglers. This trip runs from Friday to Sunday only.


Full Day Trip – Striper (Weekends)

This is the ultimate fishing experience for any angler visiting these offshore waters. This is a trip designed for those in search of the true man versus fish experience. Bluefin Tuna Fishing will take you fishing for  Bluefin Tuna at Stellwagen  Bank, known worldwide for its large population of these tasty beasts. 4 max people .

Bluefin Tuna Trip

Great trip if you're looking to catch some tasty fish you can enjoy when you're done! Your main target will be Cod, that's able to be reliably targeted in this season. In addition, other targets may include many other groundfish species. The package includes up to seven hours of fishing time with all the equipment provided. This trip runs from Friday to Sunday.

Full Day Trip – Ground (Weekends)

Venture off into the deep blue waters in search of the catch of a lifetime! You will be fishing up to 40 miles offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Shark, Striped Bass, and Bluefish – you decide what you want to fish for! If you decide to chum for Sharks a $30 surcharge may apply. This package runs on weekdays from Monday to Thursday.

Full Day Trip – Offshore (Weekdays)

On this trip, you'll get the opportunity to experience the local fishery to its fullest! You'll be able to target a wide array of species swimming in the local waters. You will head up to 40 miles offshore to target Bluefin Tuna, Shark, Bass, Blues – you will be able to choose what you want to fish for. $30.00 surcharge for chum for Sharks may apply. From Friday to Sunday only.

Full Day Trip – Offshore (Weekends)

If you've been dreaming of landing one of these legendary sea-predators, this is the trip you're looking for. Shark fishing is typically very consistent in the area with large Blue Sharks being the most common. Blue Sharks are typically photographed and released unharmed. They put up a fantastic fight and are impressive, to say the least.

Full Day Trip – Shark

This is the trip you're looking for if you're planning to both experience the excellent local Striped Bass action as well as go after the prized Bluefin Tuna. You'll Head up to 25 miles offshore for Bluefin Tuna and Striped Bass can be targeted along the way. This trip includes bait, tackle, and up to four hours of fishing time.

Throwing poppers to striped bass and bluefish is a lot of fun. However, watching a Bluefin tuna explode on your popper ramps things up to a totally different level. With tuna fishing being fantastic over the last few years, a new breed of fisherman has emerged.
