Your Fishing Charter

Barefoot Guide Service is a synonym for an exciting day for the whole family. Spend some quality bonding time with your loved ones and share the beauty of the outdoors together. 

Owned and operated by experienced Captain Jake, Barefoot Guide Service specializes in White Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, and Crappie fishing. The trips are available both in the morning during the weekend and in the afternoon during weekdays. Live bait is the key through the majority of the year but it comes down to whatever the fish do. 

The boat you’ll be fishing from is an 24’ Bulls Bay center console, powered by a 250HP Yamaha engine. The boat is equipped with all the electronics and safety equipment you’d need for a safe and productive trip on the lake. There’s enough room for 6 anglers to come aboard.

Anglers of all skill levels are invited to join in on the trips as they typically provide a lot of action and are fun for anyone taking part in them. You will primarily be jigging and fishing live bait around the lake, using various techniques.

Once you leave the dock, all you will have to do is relax and catch fish. All you should bring is food, drinks, a fishing license for anybody in the crew 17 and older, and a cooler to take your fillets home. Everything else will be provided. Your fish will also be cleaned and bagged by Capt. Jake.

You'll leave the dock just before sunrise and be one of the first boats on the fishing grounds, ready to go once the morning bite starts. The morning usually starts with Hybrid Striper and once that bite dies off, switch to White Bass or go and park on the brush piles and find Crappie.

Lake Grapevine is our dedicated crappie offering. On these trips we will be targeting crappie on brush piles, rocks, timber and roaming. These trips work best with groups of 1-3 as we will be utilizing Garmin Livescope and long rods from Bonehead tackle. Bigger groups are always welcome and will have to take turns fishing. We will go over graph settings, boat control, bait presentation/ selection as well as crappie patterns.

Weekend (AM) Crappie- Grapevine

Weekend (PM) Crappie- Grapevine

You will leave the dock around 4 PM and head in around dark to clean fish. This trip gives the chance to catch fish during their evening bite as well as enjoy the sunset that Lake Lewisville has to offer.

Half Day Weekend Trip (PM)

We will leave the dock 4 hours before Sunset and be targeting white bass, hybrid striper and catfish. Much less boat traffic on the weekday evenings and some fantastic views and fishing!

Halfday Weekday (PM) Lewisville

Lake Texoma is known as the Striper capital of the world! We are now licensed to guide Striper trips on the big pond! We will use the same tactics that we normally run on Lewisville and Ray Roberts in hopes of landing the big one! It is well worth the trip to experience a great fighting fish as well as a beautiful big lake. This is a trophy trip that you do not want to miss out on!
