Big River Outfitters focuses on having fun, enjoying the day, and hooking as many fish as possible. Its captains are inviting you to Newaygo, Michigan to join them on exciting lake and river fishing trips. They’re looking forward to fishing with you and will do everything for you to have a memorable day on the water.

You’ll be using an 18’ Woolridge jet boat powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine. The boat’s got Lowrance GPS and Garmin fishfinder systems, and it can accommodate up to 3 guests. It features a wireless trolling motor.

Big River Outfitters will take you to some of the most beautiful and rivers and lakes in Michigan. You’ll enjoy the fascinating and serene nature of the Muskegon River, Big Manistee, Pere Marquette, and Grand River. Many intriguing fish reside in these waters, some of which include various Bass and Salmon, Sunfish, and Steelhead. Using light tackle, you can fly fish, spin, jig, drift fish, and ice fish. You can keep all the fish you catch, and you’re free to bring along kids with you.

Included in the price is all the fishing gear. The tackle, live bait, and lures will all be waiting for you on board. The crew will clean and fillet your catch. You’ll just need to bring licenses, food, and drinks.

A great short trip on the river. It leaves plenty of room in the day to do other things. A great option for kids as well. Spinning rods or fly fishing available upon request. I'm on the river every day so its plenty of time to hook and catch a ton of awesome fighting smallmouth on a beautiful river within 30 min of Grand Rapids.

Half Day Trip – Smallmouth or Trout

lake Michigan run ranbows on light tackle is extremely fun. Within 30 min of grand rapids usually . Fly fishing available upon request

Half day steelhead  adventure

Fishing the beautiful muskegon river in newaygo mi,  from beginner to expert we have a bite for you. Top water will be the focus of these trips very fun for anyone.

Dry fly fishing adventure

Spinning or fly trips available. Trophy trips are available as well.  A great introduction to fly fishing or just a great way to spend an afternoon casting crankbaits and catching fish.

Smallmouth Adventure and/or trout

There is nothing you can do in Michigan that compares to fresh King salmon in tight quarters! We fish chunks of bait under a bobber as well as throw crank baits for violent shoulder-wrenching bites. Come experience one of Michigan's most exciting and best-fighting fish. Every bobber drop is an adventure. Looking forward to fishing with you! These trips are from 3:00  to 7 pm . Fish is cleaned and bagged.  Ask about fly fishing!!! All salmon is on the pere Marquette river or manistee river in brethern Mi.
